We are a British gay couple who have been living in France for just over three years since we took early retirement. We live a naturist lifestyle and are generally naked either indoors or outdoors whenever it is warm enough. We would expect our workawayer to join us in this lifestyle. Our French is much better than when we first moved here but still has a lot of room for improvement! We live in a rural area just outside a lovely Dordogne village with a boulangerie, tabac and bar within about a 15 minute walk. Larger towns are a 15 minute drive, Bergerac half an hour and the beautiful city of Bordeaux one hour by car or train. We only have one car and therefore, due to our location, we think our workawayer will need transport of their own. This would also give you the benefit of being able to explore the local area.

Hopefully we will be able to help our workawayer improve their English so we will all benefit. We live in a beautiful part of south west France and would also enjoy showing our workawayer the local area. Also for anyone new to naturism we’d be happy to introduce them to this way of life.

We need a workawayer with an understanding of English but with whom we can improve our conversational French. We’re not necessarily looking for formal lessons but have got to the stage where we need more than internet based learning. We’d probably benefit from some structured learning but having someone with us for a couple of weeks who is fluent in French would help significantly. In addition we have a large garden so help getting it under control would be appreciated. Nothing too major but knowing how to use a strimmer and shears would be great. We’re pretty laid back but keep a tidy house so help keeping it that way would be good too. We don’t anticipate the extras beyond the French conversation to amount to more than a few hours a week.

We live in an old detached périgourdine house. We can offer a private bedroom with an (English) king size bed and your own shower room and toilet en suite.
We’d be happy to have meals together and share preparation etc. We’re not “cordon bleu” cooks but feel we eat tasty, healthy meals (mostly!). If our workawayer wants to prepare his own meals that’s also fine and all we’d ask is to “leave things as you found them”.
Our workawayer would be free to either spend time off in the house or out and about. We have U.K. television, internet and most mod cons! Unfortunately there is no public transport where we are. Even the train staition is a 15 minute drive and only goes to Bordeaux or Perigueux. As we only have one car we think our workawayer would need their own transport. We have bikes we can happily lend for the local area. As we don’t smoke we want a non smoker please.
