  We are an adventure loving family (of five) in Northern California. Currently there are only three of us in the house - mom, dad and our youngest, 16 years old. Our 18 and 21 year old are both at college. We are a close family, easy going, interested in lots of different things. We have been fortunate to travel a lot together and have hosted several travelers through the years - all excellent experiences.

  We live in an exceptional part of California, close to hiking, the coast, the wine country, skiiing and San Francisco. We are warm and welcoming and look forward to making your travel experience the best it can be.

  Hello! We've been off Workaway for several years but could use some help around the house now that our two oldest have gone to college.
  
  First and foremost, we have always enjoyed the travelers we've hosted in the past. While our needs were different in the past when kids were younger, we still enjoy sharing meals with new friends and sharing our personal stories and cultures.
  
  What we most need help with is getting organized around the house. Our house does not feel unorganized by any means, but we still feel there is a lot to do and can't seem to tackle it all on our own. Some examples of help we might require:
  
  - Working with us to organize closets, donate items no longer in use.
  - Deep clean things like couches, mattresses, steam clean carpets, wash windows, etc.
  - Polish furniture, wood or leather.
  - Post items online for donation or pick-up
  - Sweeping, vacuuming, polishing dishes - basic housework
  - Help prepare/cook dinner, or make bulk meals for freezing.
  - Walk dogs
  
  While this may come as unexpected, a great candidate would be an independent traveler who enjoys getting out and exploring by themselves during the day, utilizing public transit. We love to have guests but don't have a full days work and so we'd like to know our guest is comfortable taking advantage of the surrounding community in their free time.

  We are a short walk to downtown San Anselmo where there are lots of restaurants and cafes to choose from, as well as stores and a beautiful, small town library. In the opposite direction there is easy access to great hiking and biking trails that will take you up to Mount Tam, the gem of Marin. San Francisco is about 15 miles away, accessible by bus or the Larkspur Ferry. While public transit is available, it is not up to the standards of an urban area.
