Descripción
We’ve retired to the mountains in Tafí Del Valle to have a peaceful life away from cities, smog and noises. It’s just my partner, me, our 2 daughters, our dog, some cats and a whole farm taking carece of a beautiful big house with an enormous garden. We have planted several fruit trees and started to also grow our own vegetables and flowers. Help is always needed in here. So, if you are travelling around and want to stay some days with us in this amazing place paying back with some work, helping us with the garden, farm and with the maintenance of the house, you are always welcome. We are thankful in many ways. We love to cook and to receive guests and friends. And you’ll find our house is MAGIC!

We have 6 rooms. All of them with private bathrooms. You could stay alone in your own room or perhaps you'll share it with other workawayers.

Breakfast and lunch are ncludded. But its preparation is shared, as well as the dishes. The kitchen is open and also the fridge.

Help needed for maximum 5 hours a day. The rest of your time is obviously yours. You will find our house is very comfortable. We have got wifi, cameras and alarm system. Swimming pool, and a very nice and complete kitchen also available.

The garden is even larger, and Carlito has many ideas of improvements he wants to do. We had the pleasure to help advance some of them. We learned a lot working alongside him. He has many skills and is great at teaching them, explaining the purpose of the tasks while also asking for your own ideas so that everyone is sharing. All this while making jokes and having fun. It was a great work atmosphere. We helped cutting some trees, digging holes and trenches for water pipes, cleaning the garden, picking nuts and fruits etc. It was varied and pleasurable work in the outdoors.

Before the quarantine, Carlito even went out of his way and took us with him on day trips to visit the beautiful valley: waterfalls, cheese estancia, party at friends etc.

Carlito and Carolina really make you feel like you're part of the family. It's was pleasure to help with house tasks like cleaning, cooking, playing with the kids etc. The girls are adorable!

Both Carlito and Carolina are great cooks! He showed us many times how to cook Argentinian specialities (empanadas, gnocchi, locro, asado, etc) while Carolina made delicious vegan pies, alfajores, soups and much more! She also shared her best recipes and vegan cooking tips. In the kitchen everything is home made (pastas, dough, yogurt, bread etc).

We will remember the many delicious meals and laughs we shared around the big round wooden table.

Carlito and Carolina are some of the most generous people we ever met. While the whole country was getting anxious about coronavirus and Europeans tourists, they kindly offered us to stay longer at their house. What could have been a very stressful quarantine, they helped turning into a great experience that we will remember for the rest of our lives. We were incredibly lucky to be with them at this time. They gave precious advice about traveling and even helped us prepare our return trip.

We can't thank you enough for everything you did. I really hope we can return the favor one day! We were sad to go, but I know we will keep in touch.
