  Hello and welcome!
  
  We are a friendly family of three living in Mie,Japan: my father, mother, myself (a 23-year-old son), and our playful toy poodle. We’re excited about the opportunity to host Workawayers and enjoy cultural and language exchanges together.
  
  The main purpose of your stay is to help us practice our English. I am preparing to study abroad soon, but my current English level is below A1. I hope to improve my English through daily conversations with you. It would be great if you have an interest in or experience with teaching English.
  
  On weekdays, I would be happy if you could spend time with me practicing English while helping out with some activities. On weekends, we’ll take you to explore various places in the local area, so you can experience the culture and beauty of Japan.
  
  Mie Prefecture is a special place where Japan's traditional charm and beautiful natural scenery come together. From the sacred Ise Jingu, known as the "Soul of Japan," to opportunities to immerse yourself in the region's rich history and natural beauty, there is so much to discover. Additionally, we’ll introduce you to Mie’s delicious cuisine, including the world-famous Matsusaka beef and fresh seafood unique to the area. It’s the perfect destination to experience the essence of Japan!
  
  We offer a cozy home environment, delicious meals, and the chance to become a part of our family during your stay. We can’t wait to learn from you and share our way of life. Looking forward to welcoming you soon!

  Cultural exchange opportunities at our home
  At our home, you’ll have the chance to immerse yourself in Japanese culture and daily life. We love spending time together as a family, and we’d be thrilled to include you in our everyday activities, from cooking traditional Japanese meals to taking walks with our toy poodle.
  
  On weekends, we’ll take you to explore local attractions, such as nearby parks, temples, or cultural festivals. You’ll also have plenty of opportunities to try Japanese cuisine and even learn how to make some dishes if you’re interested.
  
  In return, I would like your help in improving my English skills. Hosting you is a wonderful way for us to share what we love about Japan while broadening our perspectives. Let’s make this a fun and memorable experience for all of us!

  I am looking for someone who can help me improve my English through conversation practice. On weekdays, I would like to have discussions and conversations to improve my basic English skills. In addition, I would appreciate your help with simple tasks around the house, such as cooking, tidying up, and walking our toy poodle. While doing these activities together, I hope to practice English conversation in preparation for my study abroad. My father is also studying English, so it would be great if you could interact with him as well.
  
  Weekend Activities
  On weekends, we’ll take you to explore local attractions and share cultural experiences. Whether it’s visiting nearby parks, enjoying local food, or learning about Japanese traditions, we want you to have a memorable time here!
  
  We expect about 3–4 hours of light help each day on weekdays, leaving you plenty of free time to relax or explore. This is more about enjoying cultural exchange and learning from each other than “work,” so we hope you’ll have fun during your stay!

  Alojamiento

  We offer a clean and cozy private room for you to stay in. The room includes a comfortable bed, a desk, and storage space for your belongings. You’ll have access to shared spaces such as the kitchen, bathroom, and living room. We also provide free Wi-Fi, so you can stay connected during your time here.
  
  Meals
  We will provide meals during your stay. As a way to strengthen our bond and exchange cultures, let’s cook and share meals together. If you have any dietary restrictions or preferences, please let us know in advance.
  For breakfast and lunch, we plan to offer light meals such as cereal, bananas, or sandwiches, and for dinner, we’ll enjoy a family meal together. There will always be food available if you get hungry.

  Our home is located in a safe and convenient area, with easy access to public transportation and local attractions.

  Free Time Suggestions
  Our neighborhood is a quiet residential area where you can experience the authentic feel of Japanese daily life. It’s a great place to take walks and explore the local surroundings. There’s also a convenience store (Seven-Eleven) just a 5-minute walk from our house, making it easy to grab snacks or essentials.
  
  Transportation
  The nearest train station is about a 10-minute drive from our house. We’re happy to provide transportation to and from the station if you’d like to go somewhere. Public transportation from the station is convenient for exploring the surrounding areas.
  
  House Rules and Lifestyle
  Please remove your shoes when entering the house, as is customary in Japan.
  We generally prefer a quiet atmosphere after 10 PM, so please keep noise to a minimum during that time.
  Weekends are family time, and we often go out together to explore or enjoy local activities.
  
  Additional Notes
  We have a toy poodle living with us. While he’s a bit shy and more like a cat in personality (not overly affectionate), he won’t bite or cause trouble. If you’re not used to dogs, don’t worry; he’s very calm and easy to be around.
