  We (two sisters, Kate and Robyn) are on a smallish property that used to be a functioning farm which has gorgeous views of rural Australia, kangaroos and wildlife. The property currently has an expansive garden with a picturesque dam, shearing sheds, farm sheds and an old strawbale aeroplane hangar.
  
  We would love to provide food, accommodation, (English lessons if you need them - Rob is a qualified English teacher with 17 years experience), travel and life stories and music nights, in exchange for help doing jobs around the house ranging from mowing the lawns to repainting walls, small maintenance stuff and just generally the things which need to be done on the house periodically which we need a few more hands to help with to get done before winter.
  
  If you have gardening or a bit of 'handman/handywoman' know-how that would be great, but it's not essential - just the attitude that being busy for a few hours a day while you're enjoying your vacation is something you enjoy. We love good conversation, music, food, story telling, and meeting diverse and interesting people and know that everyone has something unique to contribute.
  
  We imagine that you wouldn't need to do more than three or four hours on any day (but you are welcome if you are engrossed in what you are doing of course). The landscape around the property is quintessential NSW Australia with kangaroos, rolling hills, variety of gumtrees and birdlife. There are abundant hikes in the area with historic small towns scattered around. There are wineries, local rural grocery stores, music and comedy venues, cafes and much more. We are 15 minutes by car to the nearest large local town Orange, and the Blue Mountains and Sydney are just a few hours away by car, train, bus or whatever transport you use. The greater area also has lots of opportunities to meet with local communities offering arts, crafts as well as the chance to experience the knowledge of indigenous guides and artists from the area.

  Robyn is an English Teacher with 17 years experience and also passionate about meditation, kriya yoga and music. She is more than happy to offer English lessons in and happy for you to join her in mediation sessions, om chanting and other similar activities if that interests you. Kate is an expert in climate matters and politics and loves good conversation and sharing resources, experiences and novel ideas. She loves cooking, sharing a glass of wine and dancing (when she's not working... currently working a lot and away from the property a few days each week).
  
  Kate has four older kids (aged 16, 17, 20 and 21) that occasionally come back to the farm on weekends to help out and meet new people.
  
  We have a baby grand piano and drum kit and welcome musicians and creative people of all types! Quiet bookworms or chatterboxes are also equally appreciated.
  
  In the area you will find small villages with their own unique offerings of bars, restaurants and cultural events. In the larger town of Orange everything is at hand from Cinemas, Gyms, Swimming pools, sporting venues, bars, cafes, restaurants, etc etc etc.
  
  We love to host people not only from foreign countries but also Australia and love to share experiences, ideas and stories.

  Ayuda

  Robyn works from home full time (but the hours are random and sometimes early morning or evening) and Kate also works from home but is frequently out on the road so really we just need help to do the normal things around a farm house with a garden. Sharing all the jobs (from feeding the dogs, taking them for walks, helping with domestic jobs like putting the washing on the line, clearing up the kitchen, gardening jobs like mowing the lawn etc.. it doesn't really matter who does it, just as long as they can get done, so we can all share the jobs between us.). We are both pretty laid back so it is more about just being open to doing whatever for a few hours every morning before lunch (unless you prefer doing them in the afternoon) and then having your free time to work, explore, relax, sleep or whatever once the jobs are done!
  
  We welcome anyone who isn't afraid of getting their hands dirty and being busy as there are a variety of tasks even for those who don't have particular skills. We also welcome suggestions, different points of view, skills, anything related to gardening, maintenance and woodwork.
  
  We have two labradors (a 3 month old puppy Lola and her 7 year old mum Baci). Super sweet and affectionate who love cuddles and tummy rubs more than anything (apart from eating).

  Robyn is more than happy to give English lessons, and help you out with any exam preparations or job applications you might need to do. She also would love to keep up her Italian language skills. Kate would love to keep up her French skills and we both are happy to learn a little of any other language that comes to the table!

  Alojamiento

  The accommodation is inside the main house with comfortable rooms (2 single and 2 double rooms available).
  
  We can provide all the bedding and towels if you don't want to bring your own. If you have your own van or tent that's also fine.
  
  In winter, we have heating and a wood fire stove, we will show you how to use the heating as it is wood fired and all the little things related to a farm house to keep it warm in winter. Do expect cold weather outside in winter however!
  
  We provide all the food (fruit, vegetables, cereals, bread etc etc) but love to share the cooking if you want to cook at any time. The cleaning of the kitchen after meals is, of course, done by everyone together. Robyn is vegetarian but Kate is not (yet....). If you have particular food needs you are very welcome to buy your own from the local stores. We LOVE workawayers who love to cook by the way..
  
  Everyone has use of the washing machine and dryer for your clothes at any point. There is one shared bathroom between the workawayers with bathtub and separate shower. The water pressure isn't amazing but there is hot and cold water at all times. We don't have so many rules as such but strict attention to how much water you use is always the case in rural Australia and are pretty climate conscious so appreciate people who also care about recycling, minimal waste and not using too much electricity if it isn't necessary.

  This workaway experience will be ideal for you if you really enjoy being busy doing any and all types of jobs.
  
  We ask that you would do a maximum of four hours a day either in the morning or in the afternoon, but if you feel you would like to finish something you are working on in one day then of course you would just then have an extra free day.
  
  In your time off you are welcome to relax around the house and garden as you please. Meal times are the best times for socialising with Kate and Robyn, but we can also arrange specific hours for learning English during the week as well. It is likely that from time to time we are all working on a job together.
  
  We will have a ute available for you to use if you want to go into town but otherwise you would need to have your own car as there are no buses. Kate will be going into town most days when she is at home so if it is a free day for you, and the timetable works that is also a possibility.
  
  However, we recommend that you imagine that most of the time you spend in your free time will be relaxing around the house or property, walks with the dogs, doing your own work / study / reading / cloudwatching etc etc etc unless you have your own car and you can go off and explore as often as you like!

  Good hi-speed wifi (it is a rare occurence if it doesn't work). Both Kate and Robyn need it for their other work as well (including zoom calls and uploading material etc) so understand the need for good internet for digital nomads.
