We, Margit (f, 63) and Franz (m, 66) live in a small town of around 20'000 inhabitants. Our big house has seen our five kids grow up – they have moved out a few years ago and now live in other places. They come visit a few times a year together with their partners and families, but through them we still often have guests from abroad.
We grow fruits and vegetables in our own garden, and enjoy cooking and baking (mostly to make our own bread).
Mi nombre es Margit tengo 63 años y junto a mi esposo Franz (de 66) vivimos en Gunzburgo, un pueblo de apenas 20,000 habitantes al sur de Alemania. Tenemos cinco hijos y por ello también una casa amplia, además de un jardín con árboles frutales y una pequeña huerta. Desde hace tiempo nuestros hijos se mudaron a diferentes lugares y solo nos visitan algunas veces en el año, por lo que siempre tenemos lugar para alojar personas.
Wir, Margit (63) und Franz (66) leben in einem großen Haus in einer kleinen Stadt (20000 Einwohner). Früher haben wir zu siebt hier gelebt, aber inzwischen sind alle unsere fünf Kinder ausgezogen und leben an anderen Orten. Sie kommen mit ihren Partnern und Familien nur noch gelegentlich nach Hause. Vor allem durch unsere „Kinder haben wir oft internationale Gäste.
Wir haben einen großen Obst- und Gemüsegarten, kochen und backen sehr viel. (eigenes Brot)

Nos daría un gusto inmenso poder compartir con personas hispano o anglohablantes para mejorarnos en nuestras habilidades, pero con especial interes en español, ya que uno de nuestros hijos esta casada con una mujer de Mexico.
We would love to welcome native Spanish- or English-speakers into our home so we can improve our fluency. Spanish is of special interest to us as one of our daughters-in-law is from Mexico.
We are interested in the exchange with other people as we are interested in foreign culture and would love to improve our language proficiency.
At our place, you can learn German and about life in a big family. We would love to teach you making your own bread, apple strudel, jam, relishes and gravy.

Con nosotros podrás aprender o mejorar tu alemán y por supuesto a ver la vida desde la perspectiva de una familia numerosa. Podemos enseñarte a hornear pan, el famoso postre aleman Strudel de manzana, a preparar las conservas y cocinar al estilo alemán.
Es wäre schön, wenn wir englische oder spanische Muttersprachler bei uns zu Gast hätten und diese Sprachen üben könnten. Im Moment sind wir besonders an spanischen Muttersprachlern interessiert, da eine unserer Schwiegertöchter Mexikanerin ist.
Für uns ist wichtig von anderen Menschen zu hören und zu erfahren, wir interessieren uns für das Leben in anderen Kulturen und wären froh, wenn wir unsere Sprachkenntnisse verbessern könnten.
Du kannst bei uns Deutsch lernen und Manches über das Leben in einer großen Familie erfahren. Du hast Gelegenheit zu lernen wie man Brot bäckt, kannst lernen einen Apfelstrudel zu backen, Marmeladen und Soßen zu kochen.

This year, our garden will provide lots of fruits and vegetables and we could use help with the harvesting and processing the yield into jam, relish, and frozen food. We are also planning to change the layout of the garden and would welcome help in the kitchen and with domestic chores.
Este año nuestro jardín junto con la huerta nos han proveído de frutas y verduras en abundancia, por ello nos encantaría contar con tu ayuda para recolección y la elaboración de las conservas como mermeladas, compotas o también cocinar y congelar la comida. Uno de nuestros proyectos a realizar este año es la remodelación de una parte de nuestro jardín y para ello también no nos caerían mal unas cuantas manos.
Da wir in diesem Jahr sehr viel Obst und Gemüse ernten können, brauchen wir Hilfe beim Ernten und Konservieren des Obstes. (Marmeladen, Kompott, Würzsoßen, eigene Fertiggerichte)
Außerdem würden wir gerne mit dir zusammen den Garten neu anlegen und freuen uns über Hilfe beim täglichen Kochen und im Haushalt.

Desde la estación de tren en Gunzburgo se puede llegar fácilmente a grandes ciudades como por ejemplo Stuttgart (1 hr and 30 minutes), Augsburg (50 min.) y Múnich (1 hr and 30 minutes). En el pueblo podrás encontrar muchos lagos hermosos a los que si te animas a conocer, te prestamos nuestra bici para que los visites. Asimismo el parque temático Legoland esta a sólo un paseo en bicicleta desde nuestra casa.
The city's train station is 2.5 km (about 1.5 miles) from our home and is well connected to Ulm (20 minutes), Stuttgart (1 hr and 30 minutes), Augsburg (50 min.) y Múnich (1 hr and 30 minutes).. The theme park Legoland is very close. You can also borrow a bike from us and have outings in the rural surroundings and to one of the many swimming lakes.
Der Bahnhof unserer Stadt ist 2,5 km von unserem Haus entfernt und von dort gibt es gute Anschlüsse nach Ulm (20 Min.) Stuttgart (1 Std.und 30 Minuten), Augsburg (50 Minuten) und München (1 Std. 30 Minuten). Auch das Legoland ist ganz in der Nähe. Wir können dir ein Fahrrad ausleihen und damit kannst du gut Ausflüge in die ländliche Umgebung und zu einem der zahlreichen Badeseen machen.
