Hello :-)
We are a family living very centrally in the beautiful town of Akureyri, the capital of the north of Iceland.
We are looking for a Workawayer ONLY 25 years old or older. We get so many requests and we don't have time to reply to people that are under 25 so please just contact us if you fit our requirements.
We like to have someone that speaks English, 25 years old or older. Who's used to household cleaning, doing laundry, taking care of children and cooking sometimes, and general maintenance.
Children at home are aged 8 and 12
Our household is nut free because of serious nut allergy. The youngest also is a type1 diabetic.
We like someone flexible and honest. We are relaxed and easy-going, sometimes there's action though.
Our house is central, 5 min walk to downtown, 5 min walk to school, the gym and the best swimming pool in the world.
In the town of Akureyri the public transport is free, the buses. But outside of Akureyri the public transport costs, see streato.is
We prefer persons that are experienced in Workaways and are around 25 years old and older and speak English, since we want to practice our English better.Tipos de ayuda y oportunidades de aprendizaje

A tiny city in northern Iceland has topped travel guide Lonely Planet's list of the 10 best places to visit in Europe this summer.
The capital of North Iceland, Akureyri has been voted the top destination in Europe to visit this summer by Lonely Planet. The leading travel publisher put its Europe-based editors to work on what they saw to be the top destination this summer. Akureyri and the nature highlights surrounding in North Iceland area topped the list.
“This year’s list features a mix of rejuvenated classics, up-and-coming places making a bid for our attention, and a few out-of-the-way spots that just make us want to book a ticket, throw some stuff in a bag and go - welcome to Lonely Planet’s best places in Europe for 2015.“
Akureyri has a population of just 19,000 people but it is the heart of North Iceland and lures travellers with its fantastic local food and culture. Akureyri is a great base for exploring the local area, including Lake Mývatn where Game of Thrones ‘beyond the wall’ takes place, Goðafoss, the ‘waterfalls of the gods’ and the fishing village of Siglufjörður that holds the only museum in Iceland with a European museums award. Akureyri is also the number one ski destination for Icelanders. We have many of Iceland’s most popular natural attractions such as, Lake Mývatn, Dettifoss, Europe’s most powerful waterfall and in Grímsey island you can cross the Arctic Circle. The area is very versatile and has been attracting visitors during summer and also in wintertime when magical northern lights dance in the sky and you can enjoy watching seals, whales, birds, ski in the nature, take on exciting jeep tours or simply enjoy the icy landscape.”
