Descripción
We are a family of three; my husband Serdar (47 years old), my daughter Emgen (15) and me (Sinem, 50). We live in the asian part of Istanbul. The place is called Ömerli, and it's like a holiday village away from the traffic and noise of the great city of Istanbul.

What should I write about Istanbul? Thousands of books, poetries were and are still written about this magical city. It was the capital of Byzantine Empire and Ottoman Empire. So this fact among others can be enough reason to come and see this city.
Ömerli is a little bir far from the center of Istanbul, but we always help the volunteers in finding their way through the city. -

Ayuda
We moved here ten years ago because of the school of Emgen. Her school is a private school, founded by the graduates of Austrian Highschool of Istanbul ( from which I graduated in 1995). She started learning German in kindergarden in 2017, and she will continue learning it until college. Now she is almost 15 and will get an IB degree in 4 years. So, her English should be good enough to achieve that. Therefore we look for English speakers (preferibly native) to stay with us and help her improve her English skills.
She is a sweet person with lot's of energy. During school time she is very busy and has gym classes after school every day, so she will be absent during the day. She also plays violin and takes place in a drama course, so she is very active. Therefore we need a volunteer who will be with us during the whole weekend and takes time off during the week. The volunteer will assist us in our daily programs (such as going to the beach, shopping etc.). He/she will talk to Emgen in English and help her sometimes with her homework or school projects. We are not looking for a "teacher" for her; we are searching for a "good friend" who will help her to crush her limits in speaking English. -

Alojamiento
Our house is in a complex consisting of 5 houses, a swimming pool and a playground. It's near to the one of the last remaining forests of Istanbul. The volunteer will have his/her own room with a bathroom and TV inside. The house has two floors, the second floor has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The first one has one guestroom with a bathroom, one livingroom, kitchen and one bathroom. Smoking inside the house is forbidden. Although we are Muslims, we are not religious people, and we consume often alcohol.

The volunteer will have fun. We will consider him/her like a family member and act accordingly. Basically we have two rules: 1-no smoking inside the house and 2-no girlfriend/boyfriend spending the night at the house.
