  I am a very active woman on the Sunshine Coast BC Canada. I have a lovely very private garden with cute cottage like outbuildings, a studio and rental home. I am an artist/gardener. My garden is my current canvas. I have several projects to be done including some gardening, fence work, firewood sorting, possibly painting and general yard work. I have a private 3 room art and music studio with a room for a Work away participant to stay, (see photo). There is a full bathroom, tv, wifi and other amenities. Electrical heat. Portable air conditioner. My 2 indoor cats stay there during the daytime and have access to an outdoor cat room. Beautiful setting, and unique buildings on property, only 5 min by car to the small town of Gibsons. Several beaches within walking distance. Also many forested trails nearby. Public transport available. Environmentally friendly, organic garden. Seasonal pond. And 2 small garden ponds. Very sunny. Just over 1/2half acre, but feels larger. A unique and friendly place to visit!

  Gibsons is a beautiful coastal town with great restaurants , parks and several music and cultural events. Population under 10,000. Keats island is a short (10min) boat ride away. Lots of beaches a few minutes away. Library, theatres, markets in summer. Very friendly community. Close to the small village of Roberts Creek. Gibsons has free outdoor music events all summer in a park facing the harbour. Forested mountain trails and many streams across the flanks of Mt Elphinstone about 10 minutes above my property. Several small lakes within an hours drive. We think this is one of the most beautiful places on Earth to live. More artists and musicians, I think, than anywhere in Canada. Vancouver City is a 40 min ferry ride away on a most stunning route. We are on the mainland, but only accessible by ferry. A wonderful paradise to explore.

  My first projects involve gardening, small tree trimming, hauling green waste, and yard help. A skilled, creative carpenter who also can do some yard work would be handy. I could also use help from someone with computer skills.

  Private, quiet sunny room in art/music studio with skylight. Non smoker only. Kitchen has a sink, kettle and toaster but no stove. Full bathroom. There is a portable food cooler and small freezer. Air conditioning and electric heat. Surrounded by beautiful flowery garden, except in winter. I understand that as host I provide some food and meals if required. Guest can eat at studio or if convenient join me in the yard or at my small heritage cottage on the property.

  This is a semi rural area called Elphinstone, just outside of Gibsons Town, which is within a 1/2 hr walking distance. Public transport on our street. The studio is set back from road. We are an organic garden, providing quite a bit of our food. Fully fenced yard, with very little visibility of neighbor's homes. I am looking for some help as a trial for a couple of weeks. A capable gardener for weeding etc, and other yard work, like simple tree trimming. Carpentry skills would also be useful. Hiking nearby on Mt Elphinstone, or on nearby beaches is popular. Exploring the sweet scenic oceanside village of Gibsons and Roberts Creek are fun options. And lots of music and dancing available, particularly in summer.
