After many years of corporate life, I felt the need to live a more purpose-driven life. I spent years learning through research and attending workshops around the topic of sustainability. This is where the idea of our farm was born and the name coined. It is a Sanskrit word for ‘Mother Earth’
Over the last year, we have created a water harvesting system of ponds and water channels, planted trees to create a food forest and successfully built a cob house.
We aim to create zero waste sustainable living space. I work with the local tribals to learn their techniques of growing and how to incorporate them into our farm. I have found them to be very knowledgeable and truly sustainable people who live as one with nature.
At our farm, we invite volunteers to be part of this journey and help me build a community that values sustainable practices. We need people to work alongside us where we learn from each other.
My family consists of my wife and a daughter who live in Mumbai and visit the farm on weekends to help me with my work.Tipos de ayuda y oportunidades de aprendizaje

As a volunteer, you'll have the chance to help us on our farms for planting, harvesting and managing our food forests or contribute to our natural building projects. We will work side by side. Our time will be spent learning and working on hands-on sustainability-related projects.
If you are ready for an interesting stay, the farm welcomes you will open arms. Come and stay with us not just as a volunteer but as a friend and when you leave, you will have many more memories and skills to take away.Ayuda
Our four-acre farm is situated near Sahyadri Hills in Maharashtra. It is around 105 km away from Mumbai.
I have learned permaculture from Aranya Agriculture Alternatives, Hyderabad and natural building techniques from Thannel. It is my mission to now create a space in which both of these learning can be incorporated.
We aim to create a space which is built on the above principles, in addition to building a space which brings everything together through a living community. A community of people, volunteers, visitors, and students - who are passionate about the cause and looking for an experience of helping, learning and creating together.
Volunteer Opportunities:
As a volunteer, you'll have the chance to engage in permaculture practices, plant and harvest organic produce, create food forests, contribute to natural building projects, and participate in learnings on sustainable living
