  Hey Workawayers, thank you for your volunteering spirit!
  I'm currently living with another flatmate in the house of my friend in Bombarral, Portugal with 4 cats in a quiet and very pleasant neighborhood.
  Bombarral is the heart of Oeste region with regular train and bus to nearby towns such as Cadaval, Óbidos, Caldas da Rainha, Lourinhã and Torres Vedras where you can enjoy both mountain on one side and the coast line on the other side. The town is surrounded by beautiful scenery of vineyard and pear plantation. There is a small but precious wood in the middle of the town which is an ideal place for hideout during hot days or for exercises. Everything you need is accessible in 15mins walk from the house: market, library, outdoor gym, swimming pool, etc.
  The house I'm staying is cool during summer, there's a small backyard for gardening as well as many books and musical instruments to entertain. The cats in the house have different ages and personalities, you can see more details in the description below

  Bombarral has local musical group, theatre, museum, wine tasting and etnotourism, ceramic production, pera rocha (pears) plantation and geoparque Oeste that explains about geological values of Oeste region.
  In my house, there are piano, guitar, mandoline and a traditional musical instrument from Vietnam. Many books including vegan and vegetarian cuisine practice books, little garden in the back yard.
  I'm from Vietnam and would love to make traditional Vietnamese/asian vegan/vegeterian foods with guests. I also practice yoga and there is book about yoga and surf in the house.
  I also know many organisation and places nearby to learn about culture of the region.

  I'm looking for someone to do pet and house sitting when I'm away for some weeks
  (next is end of January until mid February and 25 April to 25 of May) and to be updated throughout the year. If you are interested to come and help with the daily care for cat feeding and cleaning their litter boxes and other helps in the house even when I'm home, please also contact me. I enjoy sharing local knowledge, cultural exchange and volunteering experiences.

  Alojamiento

  It's a family house with 3 bedrooms , one of those could be use to host workawayer guest. Guest can also access the living room with lots of book and musical instruments, dining and kitchen area fully equipped with electric stove, oven, microwave, coffee machine, fridge, washing machine, dryer.
  We provide all the necessity from bed linen, pillow to towels, shampoo and shower gel. If guest intends to stay longer than the time needed, we appreciate their contribution for extra expenses such as electricity and water, especially during winter months when electricity consumption and cost may increase.
  I can offer light but nutritious breakfast and share vegan meals if I cook at home.

  I'm in my 30s and live with a flatmate from Malaysia, both of us are in academia. We like quiet environment, we respect guest privacy and expect the same from guest. I don't want to establish any hierarchy in the house but mutual respect and sensitivity are highly appreciated.

  Minnie

  Minnie (female) is the oldest (14 years old) with grey hair, very relaxed but will beg for more if you start stroking her head, she enjoys different kinds of food and likes to play with a robe when she's bored.

  

  Leninha

  Leninha is a 3 years-ish siamese female, very energetic and affectionate but it takes time for her to stop sneaking and spying on strangers to face them directly with her startling blue eyes.

  

  Rüdi (4 años)

  Rüdiger is 4 years old black cat with short fur, very sociable and communicative about his needs. Will probably the first cat to make friend with strangers in the house.

  

  Mika (5 años)

  Mika (female) is 5 years old black cat with long fur, green eyes, the princess of the garden. She might be shy with new people at first but will follow them to the bathroom regardless.
