Join Us in Creating The Sacred Jungle in Southern Spain
We are creating a peaceful off-grid tropical fruit forest on the beautiful southern coast of Spain and would love to share this journey with people from around the world. Our project is completely non-profit and based on cultural exchange, learning and living closer to nature.
Workawayers are never asked to help with profitable activities, paying guests, or areas used by them. The experience is focused on sharing knowledge, learning new skills, and enjoying life in a unique natural setting.
Some of the things you may be involved in:
- Planting and caring for tropical fruit trees, including mangoes, avocados, lychees, guavas, feijoas, citrus trees and many others.
- Helping to create and maintain an organic vegetable garden that provides fresh food for our meals.
- Assisting with landscaping and improving the land to support our growing tropical paradise.
- Learning about off-grid living, sustainable practices, water conservation and food production.
- Participating in creative DIY projects and simple everyday tasks around the land while sharing ideas and experiences.
What we offer
This experience is ideal for people who enjoy nature, simple living, healthy food and learning by doing. No previous experience is required — curiosity and a positive attitude are much more important.
We usually ask for around 5 hours of help a day, 5 days a week, leaving plenty of free time to relax, explore the area, go hiking, visit the beaches or simply enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
If you would like to experience off-grid life, learn about tropical fruit growing and be part of creating something special for future generations, we would love to welcome you.

Alojamiento
Accommodation & Lifestyle
You’ll have the unique opportunity to stay in a beautiful yurt that will be your cosy home during your stay. It will feature:
A comfortable double mattress for a restful sleep.
Insulated Wooden Flooring: Designed to keep you warm and comfortable year-round.
Heating for Winter Nights: Ensuring you stay cosy even on chilly evenings.
The yurt offers a glamping-style experience, blending comfort with a connection to nature. We personally live in similar accommodation and can confidently say it’s a functional and enjoyable way to live.
Facilities
Compost Toilet: Located in a separate, easy-to-access building near the yurt.
Outdoor Shower Under the Stars: A refreshing and private bathing experience, surrounded by nature. (You may also have the chance to help us build more enclosed showers during your stay!)
Sustainable Water Use: As we live in a drought-prone area, we kindly ask everyone to take quick showers, turning off the water while soaping up and rinsing.
Food & Kitchen
Our kitchen and land follow a strict vegan philosophy, which we ask all guests to respect during their stay. While you don’t need to be vegan, we do require that no animal products are brought onto or consumed on our premises.
We’ll provide delicious and nourishing meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner).
Snacks and personal food can be stored in the kitchen, but please ensure they are 100% vegan. Throughout the day, tea, coffee, and water will always be available.
Why Stay with Us?
Beyond the work, you’ll enjoy a peaceful, off-grid lifestyle surrounded by stunning natural beauty. With evenings spent stargazing or relaxing by the fire, this is a chance to disconnect from the chaos of everyday life and reconnect with nature.
Come join us and make your winter unforgettable!

Getting Here & Exploring the Area
We live in a beautiful mountainous region, fairly far from the nearest local bus stop. While remote, our location offers breathtaking views and endless opportunities to reconnect with nature.
The bus stop is approximately:
A 1-hour walk through scenic trails
20 minutes by bicycle (mountain bikes only, as the terrain is rugged)
10 minutes by car
From the bus stop, you can catch a bus to the town center (about 10 minutes), with connections to most of Andalusia’s stunning destinations.
While we recommend having your own transport for maximum freedom, we do travel to town at least once a week, and you’re welcome to join us. Please note, however, that this isn’t guaranteed and may not always align with your plans, so we encourage independence in this regard.
Free Time & Adventures
In your free time, there’s so much to enjoy:
Hiking & Cycling: Explore the rugged beauty of our mountainous area with its peaceful trails and panoramic views.
Relaxing by the Beach: Our local beaches are some of the most beautiful in Andalusia—perfect for a day of relaxation or water activities.
Exploring Nearby Cities: Malaga, Granada, and Almeria are within reach, offering rich cultural experiences, history, and adventure.
Staying on the Land: You might simply want to enjoy the tranquility here, surrounded by stunning sea and mountain views. It’s a perfect spot to read, meditate, or simply recharge.
Evenings
Evenings are a time to unwind and connect. We often gather around a cosy fire to share stories and enjoy the serene atmosphere. If you play an instrument, bring it along—music always adds something special to our nights.
Our Lifestyle
We live in harmony with nature and value a peaceful, adventure-filled lifestyle. While we’re not party people, we do enjoy the occasional gathering and love spending time with like-minded individuals who appreciate the quiet beauty of off-grid living.
If you’re looking for an escape from the hustle of modern life and a chance to connect with nature, this is the place for you.
