  About me
  I am a pianist and composer living in Djursland, in an old house with a big garden, two dogs (Taika and Romeo), a cat (Aya) and hens. My life has become quieter. Most of my days are spent composing, and the rest goes to the garden, the animals and the house.
  
  What kind of help I need
  Practical, hands-on help: gardening , simple building and renovation tasks, maintaining the land, and preparing a new plot of land. Help with the dogs may also be part of it.
  
  Who I'm looking for
  Someone who is independent, grounded and comfortable with silence. You enjoy working with your hands and can take a task and carry it through on your own. You find meaning in soil, wood, animals and a slow rhythm.
  
  It is a big plus if you have your own creative practice, such as drawing, painting, writing or poetry, and also value quiet time alone to work. Having your own tent or van is a big plus too.
  
  I love meeting for dinner and talking about life and art. But because of my work as a composer, I spend much of the day in focus and silence, so I am not socially active all the time. I hope you are someone who enjoys both: good conversations in the evening, and your own space during the day.
  
  Accommodation
  Summer only. You can stay in your own tent or van on my land, with access to a toilet and kitchen in the house. I am also planning to find a small caravan (skurvogn) for helpers, and you might be the one who helps me bring it home and set it up.
  
  What you get
  A calm place in beautiful Danish nature near the sea and forest. About five times a week I take the dogs out for long walks in nature, and you are welcome to join. Good food from the garden when there is some, and a glimpse into the life of a working composer. Not a social hub, but a quiet place to land.

  You will get a quiet, close look at Danish rural life on Mols, one of the most beautiful areas of Denmark, with forests, hills and the sea nearby. We walk in nature about five times a week, and you are welcome to join. I know the area well and can show you places most visitors never find.
  
  You will share daily life with a working composer. Music is being written in the house, and you may hear it take shape. In the evenings we can meet for dinner and talk about life, art and the creative process.
  
  If you have your own creative practice, this is a place where it can grow. The days are quiet and there is space for your own work alongside mine.
  
  You can also learn about experimental gardening, living with animals, and a slower rhythm close to the seasons.

  Help requested
  The work is practical and varies with the seasons and the weather. It can include:
  
  Garden work, such as weeding, planting, harvesting, pruning, cutting grass and taking care of the vegetable beds.
  Work on the land, such as clearing, preparing the new plot and simple outdoor projects.
  Simple building and repair tasks on the house and outbuildings.
  Help with the animals: the hens, and sometimes the dogs.
  Possibly helping to find, collect and set up a small caravan for future helpers.
  
  Experience is important. You should already know how to work in a garden and handle basic tools and building tasks. I don't have the capacity to teach everything from the beginning, so I am looking for someone who can work independently from day one. I will explain what needs to be done, and then trust you to do it calmly and thoroughly.

  Bring your own tent or van and stay on my land, close to nature. You have access to a toilet and the kitchen in the house. I am planning to get a small caravan for helpers, and you may be the one who helps me bring it home and set it up.

  Time off and the area
  I live in the countryside near Grenaa on Djursland, a region known for its nature. Grenaa has a long sandy beach, a small harbour and the Kattegat aquarium. Fornæs, with its lighthouse and stony coast, is the easternmost point of Jutland and a beautiful place to walk.
  
  Mols Bjerge National Park, with hills, heath, forest and quiet trails, is about [30 minutes] away. The old market town of Ebeltoft has cobbled streets, cafés and the Glass Museum. From Grenaa harbour you can take the ferry to the small island of Anholt.
  
  Aarhus, Denmark's second largest city, has museums, galleries, concerts and a lively cultural life, including the ARoS art museum.
  
  In your free time you can walk, cycle, swim, read, write, draw or simply rest. The place is well suited to anyone who wants to work on their own creative projects.
  
  Transport
  The light rail (Letbanen) runs between Grenaa and Aarhus. Local buses connect the area, but not very often. A bike is the best way to get around locally [I can lend you a bike / please bring your own]. [I can pick you up at Grenaa station when you arrive.]
  
  Having your own van or car is an advantage.

  Sorry, no pets. I have two dogs, a cat and hens, and my dog Taika is a watchdog. He would bark at another dog on or near the land, and that would disturb the peace for all of us.
