My name is Senem. We are a family of 3 living in a historical detached house in Kuzguncuk (a historical, lively, and authentic small village by the Bosphorus) on the Asian side of Istanbul - myself, my husband, and my daughter. My daughter Asya is 12 years old. Kuzguncuk is very centrally located and it is easy to reach the European site by ferry from Uskudar which is 5 minutes (by bus/dolmus) from Kuzguncuk.
My husband, Kerem studied Business Informatics and works as a Business Intelligence Analyst at a bank, he also makes jewelry. I am a pharmacist working for a pharmaceutical company. We are a working couple looking for volunteers while Asya is home. We are an open-minded and easy-going family. We love traveling, biking and camping.
Please note that for the adaptation of our child, we can only accept volunteers who are planning to stay at least 3 weeks and we can accommodate individuals, therefore our space is not suitable for more than one person. I appreciate your understanding.Tipos de ayuda y oportunidades de aprendizaje

They will have a chance to experience the life style of a working family living in Kuzguncuk which is a historical, lively, and authentic small village by the Bosphorus. They would also learn about the history and the politics of the country, enjoy the friendly neighborhood and the delicious Turkish cuisine.

Ayuda
Asya is playing volleyball, and she is going volleyball training 6 days of the week. The main tasks will be taking Asya to these trainings via a minibus, and reading a book before bed. The training itself takes about 1:15/1:30 mins and travel time takes up to approx. 30-40 mins in total. (go and return) The training usually starts sometime between 17:00 or 18:00 depending on the day. You will work a maximum of 2-3 hours daily with 1/2 days off every week. Off days will be planned individually with the volunteer. Our preference will be Sunday and Monday and this will be flexible according to our plans or the plans of the volunteer. Working hours will start at around 16:00/17:00 PM and finish around 19:00/20:00 PM.
We are not a very demanding family but we would appreciate help doing light chores.Idiomas hablados

I spent 3 lovely weeks with Senem/Kerem and 6 year old Asya (now 7 I think, happy belated birthday wishes) in Istanbul.
Firstly about the location for anyone interested in this workaway, the house is on the Asian side very close to the Uskudar (15 minute walk to this area) and from there you can get to most places. Therefore… read more

It was my pleasure to stay with you, thank you very much for being so kind. You do have quite a busy life and sometimes I was not sure how to help you in a useful and independent way, but well one week is a really short time to do this.
Thank you very much for opening your house for me and all the best for… read more
