Clara stayed on our farm last summer for 3 weeks. She was very hardworking and we loved to have her. She was good with our kids and hardworking on the farm and very easy and good to have her in our home, she was just part of our family right away. A nicer person is hard to find! :)
We hope she will always be a part of our workaway family!

Although I had to leave a bit earlier due to some personal reasons, I had three wonderful weeks here. Bjarni and Erla offered me a really good host, with lots of different kinds of farmwork and a nice place to stay.
Both are truly intelligent, interesting and respectable persons, who can teach you a lot about Iceland but also general matters of
… read more life. The boys are probably the craziest, most chaotic and funniest kids I've met in a while and they won my heart quickly, as it's never getting boring with them.
I had enough free time to explore the beautiful area, with and without the family, and made exciting trips for example a late hike with Bjarni up on the nearby mountain- really stunning!
I was actually hitchhiking from Reykjavik to the farm, where I met lots of different people from all over the world, so this was an additional funny and interesting experience!
All in all I highly recommend this host to everyone who wants to enjoy Iceland in it's purest and most intense kind of vacation or experience :)Solo puedes ponerte en contacto con workawayers con membresías activas.

I stayed with Erla and Bjarni for a month in May/June 2017. It was my first time doing workaway and it was perfect.
I hadn't had farmwork experience before but, although physically hard, it was fun! I came for the end of the lambing season so just after I arrived it was still very busy but then satrted to slowly become more calm. My main chore was

Erla and Bjarni are amazing, always smiling and helpful. They make you feel at home from the very beginning. The kids are sometimes a little crazy but lovely. And all the other people I met there were so great. We went on plenty of trips in the free time as we could borrow the car to explore the area.
There was always enough time to just enjoy yourself resting on a sofa and watching tv or reading a book (with a snack, as the kitchen was full of food all the time!). It is also a perfect place to take a walk and admire the beauty of the mountains and the glacier (farms there are quite far away from one another, the town is 20 mins by car). And of course Iceland itself is a stunning place.

Being a part of this family is one truly rewarding experience. I stayed only two months in this farm, working really hard (I am a small hobbit tho), and I swear that Bjarni and Erla will teach you so much, give you so much you couldn't be more grateful to them!
They are such an amazing family, Bergur and Gunter are wonderful boys, always
… read more friendly and creative. The grandparents are lovely, everybody around are just so warm at heart.
I highly recommend this host for people who don't mind working hard and caring around just like a family member, because damn my life changed forever.
