Step into our slice of paradise—where yoga, surfing, and the waves keep time with the days.
Welcome to The Hostel !
You’ll share laughs, adventures, and sunsets with travelers and volunteers from every corner of the world, creating friendships that linger long after you’ve gone.
More than just a hostel, this is a family.
Nestled in the charming, peaceful fishing village of El Transito on Nicaragua’s Pacific coast near León, golden sunsets spill across the sky above black-sand beaches, and the ocean’s heartbeat becomes part of your own.
With our wide selection of surfboards, daily yoga classes, family-style dinners, and a breathtaking oceanfront setting, you might just find yourself never wanting to leave.Tipos de ayuda y oportunidades de aprendizaje

The little fishing village of El Transito where we chose to build our hostel 10 years ago is the perfect spot to mingle with locals and practice your spanish. You will learn how to surf and have the chance to practice yoga every day in front of the ocean.

URGENT: We are currently looking for a Surf Instructor who could start around the 15th of September.
We’re looking for amazing humans to join our little family here in El Tránsito, Nicaragua—all year round! Your main superpower? Making guests feel welcome, happy, and part of the crew.
What you’ll get in return:
✨ 2 healthy vegetarian meals a day
✨ A comfy bed with an individual fan in our volunteer dorm
✨ Full kitchen access
✨ Free WiFi (yes, even on the beach!)
✨ Pool access
✨ Your share of the tips
✨ Unlimited use of 40+ surfboards
✨ Daily yoga classes (priority to guests when it’s busy)
✨ Free surf lessons when there’s space
✨ Cheap drinks at the bar (because, balance 😉)
Oh—and did we mention? You’ll be living right on the beach, falling asleep to the sound of the waves, and making friends from all over the world.
We’re looking for friendly, outgoing, English-speaking legends who can commit to 1–2 months, love working in a team, and aren’t afraid to jump in and take initiative.
📩 How to apply: Put the activity you’d like to do + your available dates in the subject of your message.
Pack your smile, your sense of adventure, and maybe a swimsuit… you’re going to need them. 🌴Idiomas hablados
