We discovered by James and Vania taste of the Canadian land. Experiencing the good feelings of workaway . In these three weeks together , we have learned and enjoyed, this fun and working families , and that daily doings .
They are a great couple who are highly complementary , james it is a meticulous person and a handyman , serious and funny at
… read more the same time , and Vania , always with a smile , unfolds in the kitchen magnificent skills , and his work reveals having a big heart.
And two children wonderful , polite, always willing to help , very positive , friendly energy, and like all children her age , love video games .
This family is a clear example of balance between progress and nature , which defines the Canadian mentality.
In our daily duties , we took care of the garden and animals
And we helped them with some more long-term projects and chores .

We had a nice time with Jose and Judit. They were a very nice couple. Jose was very eager to share his culture with our family. Judit was very patient and kind to our children. Both were willing to do jobs asked of them. Now we have friends From Spain!

We had lots of fun living here in the summer of 2013. It is a beautiful setting and a lovely home. The work was a nice mix of indoor and outdoor (feeding & cleaning the animals, lawn mowing, doing the dishes, taking care of the house, watering the vegetable garden & trees). The work was independent.

… read more kid’s are easy to handle & very kind. We played a lot of time cards.
We found them to be very understanding and caring. We also found the people of Vancouver Island, although few and far between, to be very kind and inviting. They have really kind neighbours too.
We had an awesome time here and glad we were able to help you in someway.
It is hard to find the words to describe our time with Vania, James & there kid’s but put simply it was wonderful.
Personal highlights for us during our 2 month stay included a trip to Victoria, Tofino, all the lakes & rivers, the ocean & a lot of special festivals: dragon boat festival in Nanaimo, sand sclupting festival in Parksville. It is a beautiful island with a lot of to do’s. For luck, we have our own car & had 8 weeks with mostly sunshine.
Genuinely, Vania and James are truly great parents, great people and upon leaving, see them as great friends.
We also have a handful of great recipes now.
Do not miss this great opportunity - you won't regret it!
It's awesome to have a 'second family' somewhere far from home where you are always welcomed.

Marko and Sina were our first workaway experience. They stayed in our home for two months and now we feel we have friends from Germany:)
On weekends Marko and Sina stayed in our home and looked after the animals and yard work while we were away camping. It always looked so wonderful when we returned. During the week they did many other tasks to
… read more help us prepare for our camping trips. They were always polite, and willing to do any task asked. My husband was pleased to have Sina cut his hair for him too!
Our family went through a very stressful period this summer. During this time Sina and Marko were non intrusive, respectful and kind.
We are going to miss Marko and Sina but are so glad to have had the opportunity to meet them and we know that whoever they stay with next will enjoy their company and skills as much as we do.
