Descripción
We are a non-for-profit charity, based in Otres, providing children and their families with an educational support centre offering school education, family support, social care, and health and wellbeing programs.
In rural Cambodia, a large number of families simply cannot afford to send their children to school and they are often left to roam the streets, sent to work on the land, collecting plastic from the beach and rubbish sites, or at home helping to raise their siblings.
We provide free education to over 100 children, from ages 5 to 16, and social support to the community, ensuring that when the children leave school they have career options to give their families a better life.

We are an established NGO with a Khmer Head Teacher and 6 Khmer teachers that you will teach alongside located walking distance from Otres Village where the children who attend the school all live with their families. We also have various volunteers assisting in and out of the classroom.
Our education program will give you the opportunity to participate in classes. Engage students in English language development activities - speaking, reading, writing, conversation, listening, pronunciation and much more. In exchange learn about the lives of the students and their families and community.
Please note that Otres is undergoing a great deal of development at the moment and as such there is a lot of construction around.

Teaching Assistants
We are looking for teaching professionals to support our Khmer staff teach English to our students. Our teachers will plan and deliver lessons and you will support in the classroom.
Our education program is Monday - Friday 1.00 - 4.30pm.
If you are interested in helping us in the classroom we have a minimum requirement of 2 month stay.
Other positions
Furthermore we offer opportunities to people interested in volunteering skills such as photography, video making, IT, fundraising and general maintenance to our volunteer house.

Alojamiento
We now have Workawayer accommodation 25 minutes walk, 15 minutes cycle or 10 minutes scooter ride away. As we are a small NGO we charge Workawayers small fee of $5/day to help pay rental and utilities. This has been agreed with Workaway as we are a registered NGO. We have 4 private bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 showers, a full kitchen with many appliances and various chill out areas.
We have a small onsite kitchen at the project, used to cook meals for the children. Volunteers will get lunch at the same time as staff and the children which is before classes each day (11am). This will be rice/noodles, vegetables and meat.

A little further afield are the islands of Ko Ta Kiev, Koh Rong and Koh Rong Samleon.
And Kampot is only a couple of hours away.
