  I live in Vallgorguina, Spain, and I enjoy meeting people from different cultures and backgrounds. My daughter lives in Barcelona.
  
  I'm looking for cultural exchange rather than a work-focused experience. I would love to host someone who is inter nested in practicing languages, sharing daily life and experiencing Catalan culture.
  
  I am 57 years old, I live in a quiet house just outside the town, and I work during the day. For this reason, I am looking for someone who is independent, responsible, and happy to spend some time on their own while I am at work. I will, of course, enjoy sharing meals, conversations, and discovering the local area together whenever possible.
  
  One of the reasons I joined Workaway is to meet people from different cultures and improve my English through everyday conversations. We can also speak Spanish, French, or Catalan, but I would especially appreciate the opportunity to practise my English in a relaxed and natural way.
  
  For me, Workaway is much more than exchanging accommodation for help. I hope it will be a meaningful experience based on mutual respect, kindness, curiosity, and sharing everyday life.

  My home is a great base for exploring barcelona and many other interesting parts of Catalonia. Guests can easily visit barcelona, as well as Girona, the Costa Brava, and other beautifuland culturally rich destinations across the region.

  I see language exchange as a natural part of living together. No formal lessons are expected, just friendly conversation and mutual learning.

  Alojamiento

  Helpers will have their own private bedroom in my home. The kitchen, living areas, bathrooms and gardenns are shared. The house is located in a beautiful natural setting, surrounded bay forest, with wonderful views. It's a paceful place, ideal for people who enjoy nature.
  
  Yes, Workawayers will be provided with three meals a day during their stay.
  
  Whenever I am at home, I will be very happy to share meals together, as I believe it is a wonderful way to enjoy a cultural exchange, get to know each other, and spend time together.
  
  When I am away or not available, Workawayers are welcome to prepare their own meals and help themselves to the food available in the house. There will always be ingredients and food provided, and they are free to eat as much as they need during their stay.
  
  My goal is for everyone to feel comfortable, welcome, and at home.

  Reliable Wi-Fi and space to work or study. Public transport from the house to Sant Celoni train station is limited. However I'm often able to help with transport arrangements when needed.
