  We are looking for helpers who would like to support us in the following tasks:
  Gardening/vegetable cultivation.
  Support with harvesting and preserving fruit and vegetables.
  Taking our dogs for a walk and play with them.
  Sometimes support for cooking.
  
  What we would welcome from our helpers:
  5 hours of help a day, 5 days a week.
  The weekend is of course free.
  
  What we offer in return:
  Sleeping place in our caravan (only for individuals or
  couples)
  
  We offer 3 meals per day:
  We provide the food for breakfast and lunch, in the evening we cook nice vegetarian dishes for a shared dinner
  
  On the property there is a fully equipped outdoor kitchen with a stove, oven and a refrigerator. Here you can cook and bake as desired. We are also happy to cook together when the time allows it. There is also an extra bath house with a shower and a compost toilet.
  
  This is us:
  Richy (55 years) and Titilayo (50 years) from Hamburg, Germany. We have been living in northern Portugal since January 2021 and fulfill our dream of a sustainable farm. We are both vegetarians, mostly vegans, but don't expect it from others. We both also live alcohol and drug free. Our family includes our dogs Caleb and Luna as well as our cats Mikosch, Jack, Lotti and Gustavo and our new family members three pigs and also six chickens. The animals are the heart of our farm life and bring us a lot of joy. We still have a lot to do to build fences and make some preparations but that's what makes our project so special for us, it's a life project. We are looking forward to our guests and full of anticipation.

  When doing tasks together in the fields we pass on our acquired knowledge to the helpers.
  During joint hikes, we can impart interesting facts about the historical background of the region to the workaways.
  When cooking and baking, we can learn each other's recipes and preparation methods.
  Baking sourdough bread in our wood-fired oven could also be interesting for the Workaways.
  We show our helpers fantastic and hardly frequented places in the Lafões region, whether for hiking or to relax at the waterfalls.

  Alojamiento

  Our farm is in the small village of Figueiredo das Donas, which belongs to the municipality of Vouzela. The property is easily accessible from the main road and is surrounded by greenery with a very nice view of nature. We can offer the following sleeping options:

  Parking space for Campervan
  Sufficient space for tents
  
  We have a bath house with shower and compost toilet
  
  On the property there is a fully equipped outdoor kitchen with a stove, oven and a refrigerator. Here you can cook and bake as desired.

  Algo más...

  On the weekends there is an organic market, flea market (not every weekend), there are great hiking trails and beautiful waterfalls. Only 15 minutes away by car are the spa town of São Pedro do Sul and the small town of Vouzela. Those who like the sea will find what they are looking for in Aveiro or in Porto. Aveiro is just under an hour away and Porto takes around 1h20.

  Two workstations are available in our caravan. In front of the caravan there is a cosy terrace with a view of our vegetable garden, where you can also work. There is a portable WiFi router that provides 10 Mbps.
