  Our farm is located on Saturna island, the most southern of the Gulf Islands in British Columbia, Canada. The Gulf Islands are located between Victoria BC and Vancouver BC. We have owned the farm for over 40 years and have been dedicated to preserving and organically farming this unique heritage property. We do several types of farming - vegetable gardening, greenhouses, cattle.
  We are a certified organic farm.

  While Saturna Island is a small rural community we do have a thriving artist community and the best hiking areas you will find anywhere. Nature abounds. The Island also boasts one of the best land based whale viewing sites anywhere on the west coast! We also love to experience and learn about the foods of other cultures and teach what we know.

  The most common questions we get asked are : When can I stay there? What kind of work? Where do I eat and sleep? What kind of things can I do?
  We will answer them here as best we can and if you have any other questions just e-mail them.
  WHEN?  We take helpers April to October when we need the most help.
  WHAT KIND OF WORK WILL I DO?  Most jobs here involve gardening and soil preparation, weeding, harvesting the farm produce and helping care for our cows. There is field maintenance work, fencing and building.

  WHERE WILL I EAT?   All food is provided and cooked in our home. Kitchen work and help with dinner would be helpful. 
  WHERE WILL I SLEEP? You will have your own room in a separate building next to our house and it has it's own washroom and shower facilities which are shared.

  WHAT CAN I DO IN MY TIME OFF? Saturna has many interesting sights to see and lots of hiking opportunities. Our Farm has it's own private beach and there are many parks and beaches to explore on Saturna Island. You can also take one of the bicycles we have available and explore the Island by road. If you like the ocean you can learn to use one of our row boats.  You can also rent Kayaks on Saturna.
