I stayed a bit more then a week at this beautiful place and actually felt like home. The dogs that live there with Alessandro are amazing creatures - all of them. You'll love them from the very first second! And those that I took for a walk were always very easy and
… read more friendly doggies. The tasks are walking them 2-3 h in the morning and again 2-3 h in the evening through the apple fields and maybe giving a hand with feeding them. It's always easy and fun. :)
It was lovely to spend even my free time with the dogs but I also enjoyed a lot talking with Sonja and spending time with Alberto and Alessandro and to see some nice spots in the area where they took me. Also everything around is so beautiful.

this was my very first workaway experience and I had an amazing week working with Alessandro and Sonja; going out, playing and working with the dogs are the main tasks in the beautiful landscape of Trentino.

Sonja and Alessandro's dog shelter experience was beautiful. Every day was special and unique. The task was very simple: walking 2, 5 hours in the morning and evening, cuddling the dogs and playing with them. The rest of the time was free time which I spent with the dogs anyway because they are adorable.

I walked/watched the dogs 2,5 hours in the morning and 2,5 in the afternoon. I had plenty of free time where I could do anything I wanted.

I spent two weeks and a half helping Alessandro and his mom at their dog center and It was super! Your main task Is to walk dogs around 2,5 hours in the morning and the same in the Afternoon with a Lot of spare time, cozy accomodation and food provided. Such a pity I had to leave to continue my travel :D if u love dogs this will be your place.

When I was living in sudtirol I went to help at the hotel on the weekends for a little bit more than one month.
The landscape is very beautiful and the tasks are super!
Basicly what you need to do is walk with the dogs for a few hours in the morning and in the the afternoon.

You can also be asked to stay on the field while a few dogs play together or also help a little bit on the lunch and dinner time, but the amount of hours per day were always respected and I also had a lot of free time to walk around the Aple trees or relax.
Sonja was always very nice and I end up knowing also other two workawayers equaly nice and fun.
If you are coming to the dolomites this is an experience that I totally recomend you to have!

We spent 1 month here with Sonja and all the wonderful dogies! We only spent 3 days with Alessandro, who explained our tasks during our stay while he was going on vacation. Our time here was amazing! Our working hours were from 9 to 11 a.m. and then from 4 to 6 p.m. As it was not high season (Octobre), the number of dogs was between 8 and 13,
… read more which is not much. Sonja was incredibly kind and fun to work with, she brought us sweets and bread every morning, she gave us everything we needed. Sonja answered all the questions we had about the care of the dogs and the way of living in Southtyrol since we didn't even know that German is spoken in that area.
The job was really simple, we took the dogs out for a walk twice a day, we played with them and gived them lots of love!! In rare cases we where asked to cut the grass and to sweep the floors. As we were going to stay a long time there we decided to deep clean the kitchen area to be confortable and habitable.
When we arrived we felt that the conditions of the place were not optimal to receive workawayers, due to the kitchen and the hot water in the bathroom of the room, but we decided to clean and get comfortable.
They were very kind to lend us the car while they were on vacation which allowed us to know the Dolomites area very well, the landscapes are amazing and the place is a dream! If you love dogs this is the place for you!

This place was our first Workaway and we really had a good time at the hotel with Sonja and Ale! Our main task was to go out with all the lovely dogs which have been there at this time in exchange for accommodation and food and one or two nice trips to the lakes around the area. We thank them for this nice experience.
