We are a small nursery supplying local and national markets, farmers markets and high streets with fresh vegetables (mainly sweet peppers). We are currently diversifying into a more holistic way of growing and self-sufficiency.

You will learn how to build, establish, maintain and improve a pepper crop in a growing environment. You will learn how to manage live animals such as bees as well as build and maintain their living environment. You will learn how to harvest food and vegetables in a hydroponic system.
On the nursery itself we have our own little community that enjoys weekly activities such as BBQs and a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy as well.El anfitrión ofrece una paga acorde al salario mínimo

The help is with our Sweet Pepper and tomato plants inside glasshouses. The main tasks will be pulling down pepper and tomato crops, sweeping, cleaning and washing the glasshouses ready for a new crop.

Lea Valley Park offers lots of opportunity for rambling and adventure. The historic River Lea has plenty of pubs, cafes, wildlife reserves, restaurants and recreational areas to enjoy. The nearby village of Roydon has plenty to offer as well as the historic towns of Hoddesdon and Broxbourne with links to both London and Cambridge by rail.
Further afield is Epping Forest, a horse sanctuary and fishing spots with their own unique, wonderful hiking opportunities.

Our first Workaway experience was fantastic. John was very accommodating. He let us stay in a caravan which was our own private space, whilst we worked on our van at weekends. We stayed here for 7 weeks and we feel as though we could work here for months! The work is straight forward, pretty easy but it does get hot in the greenhouses so be prepared to wear some loose clothing. Megan's stay with us was great!
She worked with us for 5 months getting stuck in to every task and adapting to every situation, whether it was clearing old crops, preparing new planting areas, she helped us with planting, crop work and weeding. An eager, motivated, hard working part of the team in all weather conditions.

Good, chilled place to work with friendly people that made the experience a memorable one. Johns easy to get on with and has a chilled attitude which is a great change to most jobs I’ve done. Overall the work was easy, managed to listen to a lot of audiobooks and ended up saving a lot of money in a short time. Recommend 👍

Was the perfect place to ride out the end of lockdown, nestled in the Lea Valley national park the surrounding nature is beautiful plus central London is a short train ride away. John is a very fair boss and while the work can be a little tedious, it is not difficult and is interesting. Great place save some money- cheers John and all the best!

I spent around 3 months on the farm in the end, the work is nice and simple and pays well and managed to save up, London is super close by train as well so had a few days out in the capital, met amazing people and got to know them well. Thank you John

John was a really great host!
We really enjoyed are staying here and made a lot of nice memories. The work was not so hard, and everyone was really nice to us especially Alan who drove us to the store or station if we needed a ride.
