George and George stayed with us for about 3 weeks. We would have loved to have had them stay longer but unfortunately they had to keep travelling up the coast.
George and George were excellent workaways. They were very good company and easy to be around; falling straight into our family life without hassle. Beyond their dedicated work, George
… read more and George frequently played with our two children Noah and Taylor. They were patient, understanding and fun with the kids, enjoying frequent football, basketball and 'guitar practice' sessions.
Regarding work; George and George were extremely hard working and always did whatever was asked with zero fuss. Of particular value to us was that, in addition to making significant progress and getting things done quickly, they undertook the work in a manner as if it was their own house. Specifically, they didn't stop doing a task until it was done right. They took instruction very well, then diligently went about a task to a high standard.
They and us all learned a lot during their stay. Life lessons included: Five Hundred is a great card game, don't drop you lunch, weeds are just awful, never buy the cheapest tap hardware and Qi, while highest scoring, should be prohibited from all house Scrabble rules.
In short, we highly recommend George and George to any hosts. They are a delight to have around. They are kind, polite, respectful, social and helpful people to have around. All that anyone could ask for of workaway guests.
We will miss their company and wish them well for the remainder of their travels.
We loved our almost 3 week stay with Steven, Kirst, and their two boys Noah and Taylor. We were made to feel at home immediately, with the kids waving to us from the window when we arrived, and Steven taking us out to show us around and swim together on the first day.
Our main job was to hand pick the weeds from a large mulched area of their
… read more garden. We also whipper-snipped; pulled up, tidied and relayed weedy bricks; changed washers on all of their taps; filled, sanded and painted holes in their walls and roof; and helped to prepare for Cyclone Alfred!
Our work was rewarded with some delicious meals cooked by Kirst which we really enjoyed, and a nice double room in their lovely house. We enjoyed chatting with Steven and Kirst in the evenings once they’d finished work, sometimes whilst playing a card game which would get very competitive!
We also loved playing with the boys, Noah and Taylor; writing and playing new songs on the guitar, playing basketball, having nerf gun fights, and playing games of scrabble. They are both very energetic and fun boys to be around, who seemed to enjoy our company, and could have a good laugh with us. We stayed over Noah’s birthday, and arrived the day after Taylor’s birthday, and we hope they liked the presents we bought for them!
When we weren’t working, Steven and Kirst gave us plenty of recommendations of places to go, and we even went with them to watch a Steven and Noah in part of their sailing regatta before some bridge jumping into the sea with Taylor.
Overall, we can’t recommend staying with Steven and Kirst highly enough, and we will miss them and their boys very much!

We had such a great time with this lovely family! They did everything to make the most out of our stay.
Steven and Kirsten are very smart and open minded people. We really enjoyed our conversations and the cup of tea every evening. Kirstin served us the best food we had in Australia. And Steven showed us what to do on the beautiful Sunshine

Their children Noah and Taylor are so easy to get along and really friendly.
Regarding the work: we did gardening, like weeding, wood splitting, planting of native plants and whipper snipping.
We will for sure think of the quality time we spend together a lot after our trip and are grateful for this wonderful experience.Só é possível entrar em contato com Workawayers com assinaturas ativas.

Benji and Jeannine are awesome! They were with us for only 3 weeks but they left a positive and lasting impression.
As workers they were most helpful, capable and confident; both were able to get in and get things done. Anything we asked them to do they did without fuss and always made the most of whatever task it was, no matter how mundane.
… read more Their positive attitude meant they were well placed after a morning of work to make the most of their time travelling and get out to enjoy the lovely part of the world we live in. A large part of the work they did for us was to plant in nearly 300 native trees, which have since grown into a lovely garden. We've since even sent them a pressing of some of the flowers with a great little photo from their stay. I've little doubt that whatever tasks we may have given them they would have done it efficiently, perfectly, and as though it was their own home.
Aside from the gardining, they also helped us with some more obscure things, such as graphic design for a toddlers new bike. Weird I know, but it made for the raddest kids bmx this side of LA! Cheers for your attention on this one Benji. Benji's capability in this space has even led me to since learn to drive graphic design programs myself as it turns out it's a great skill to have.
Being great helpers around the house made everything easy and it was nice being able to simply trust things would be done right. Moreso though, they were such a delight to have around, socialise with and spend time with. Both Benji and Jeannine are intelligent, honest, articulate, adventurous and fun. After dinner conversations were always something to look forward to and often went late into the night. They have a supurb outlook on life, which makes them such a joy to be with. They're fun and young, yet old and wise all at the same time - cool!
We are grateful to now call Benji and Jeannine our friends. Since their stay, we periodically catch up with them via video call which is always a laugh. I look forward to the day we are able to get to Austria, or wherever our paths may again cross, so that we may spend some more time with them.
If it isn't yet obvious, we're big fans of Team Benji and Jeannine. If you have the opportunity, be sure to invite them into your home. They're fantastic help and even better people.
Good luck with everything Benji and Jeannine, and enjoy your ongoing travels.

Steve, Kirst and the boys make you feel welcome as soon as you arrive.
They have this cool van Putzy with which Steve and little Taylor took us on a scenic drive on the very first day.
Kirst made the best dinner from the very first until the last day which me mostly had together on their wonderful terrace.
We also loved the bright room with the
… read more big wardrobe we had.
Our work was mainly planting Australian native plants and watering them. We liked the fact that it was physical, so that we didn’t have to do any additional sports :). The hours were flexible and it was so nice seeing at the very end what you can accomplish in just 3 weeks. Sometimes Benji also helped out with little Photoshop works assisting Steve to re-design and renovate this really cool bike, Taylor‘s Christmas present.
We had so many special moments with this family, met Kirst‘s parents and Steve’s and Kirst‘s friends. We always loved the chats we had, and the fact that Kirst and Steve were open to talk about any topic.
Because they shared so much about their experiences, we really got a great insight into the Aussie living.
One day Kirst took us to Brisbane for some christmas shopping, which was really funny. Another day Steve took us for a surf and gave us a great lesson.
They included us into their life, but we feel that everyone still had enough privacy.
We loved their way of living, how they are as a family, the fact that they care about reduction of waste, always sharing meals if time allows it, etc.
We already miss them and thank them for making our first workaway and stay in Australia just wonderful!
If you have the chance to stay with them, go for it. We can fully recommend it. Go their with your own car, to explore the beautiful Sunshine Coast.Só é possível entrar em contato com Workawayers com assinaturas ativas.

Steven, Kirsten, Noah and Taylor. What a wonderful family!
They had us in their amazing place for 2 weeks and let us feel like part of their family the whole time.

Steve taught us how to surf and develop films.
Kirst cooked delicious meals every night and sang a lot of

Noah is a bright kid which is going to be a photographer some day just like his dad.
Taylor is one of the cutest babies we've ever had contact with, he is gonna be an artist, for sure!
The children are really polite and easy going. Same thing with their parents.
It was great to be part of the family and we wish to visit you guys someday again!

Where do we start... we stayed with Steve & Kirst for 3 weeks prior to Christmas and couldn't have asked for better hosts who we now consider friends. They were incredibly accommodating and were always making sure we were a part of the family inviting us on roadtrips in their VW combie down the coast and BBQs at the beach. Their two young boys are

They made sure they tasked us with jobs that were best suited to our skill set which meant it was really enjoyable and fulfilling work. While we were there we helped with gardening, building and painting.
We miss our evenings listening to music, playing cards, having a glass of wine or scotch in front of the fire and sharing travel stories and hope we can reciprocate your hospitality when you come to NZ for that road trip! Thanks again guys :)Só é possível entrar em contato com Workawayers com assinaturas ativas.

Cat and Tom stayed with us for 3 or so weeks prior to Christmas and what a joy they were. From a work perspective they were both most capable and very eager to assist with whatever they were tasked with. Cat was a machine in the garden and Tom, being a Carpenter by trade, was able to fix / mend / build anything to a professional standard. In our

Most imporantly to us, Cat and Tom fit efforlessly into our lifestyle. They were wonderful company with the kids and always insisted on helping with mundane daily tasks such as the dishes, in addition to the jobs that we'd tasked them with. They're right in to food / wellness, and of course coastal living; this worked well with us and appreciating good food was largely how we spent our time.
As a host you can be assured Cat and Tom will be willing to spend time and share experiences, but also leave one alone should they prefer a little space or quieter time in a busy week. They're very accomodating guests to have in the home.
We enjoyed our time with 'TomCat' and hope our paths cross in future - parhaps we'll do a roll reversal and offer our help when they purchase a new place in NZ?! We would highly recommend them to future hosts.
Cheers,
Steve and Kirst

An overdue feedback for Theo and Louna.
Theo and Louna were our first 'workaways' to stay with us. They were great company and showed us how rewarding it can be to have travellers stay and share your home. We've since had three other couples stay with us and we've another couple of travellers to join us this month!
Theo and Louna were most
… read more helpful and very eager to assist with any task provided for them. They helped us to finish polishing a bed (sounds easy but there was 100 hours in polishing this bed!) and it's now our favourite peice of furniture. Was a great joy to put the old bed back together and see it look like new.
Importantly for us, Theo and Louna were great company and fitted in to our lifestyle well. We enjoyed many breakfasts and evenings sharing travel stories and learning lots about their heritage. It's also a great experience for our two boys of 2 and 6 years to meet and talk with people from different backgrounds to ours in Australia.
Kirst and I highly recommend Theo and Louna to other hosts. They're also very knowledgeable with gardining owing to their previous and extensive experience working at garden centres throughout Australia.

Beki and Yann were great company and we very much anjoyed having them stay with us.
Owing to their circumstances they made contact at short notice and while we were to go on holidays within the week we were happy to have them stay. They sounded lovely and were flexible to do a little gardening and odd jobs here and there - a good win / win.
Beki

We set Beki and Yann up with a private queen room but they were always eager to share stories and company or play with the kids. As we worked, they were also very aware of giving space as required so we could recoup for the new day.
Wouldn't hesitate for a moment to have Beki and Yann stay with us again, or recommend to any other host for the same. Be sure to get in touch guys if you're ever on the Sunny Coast again!
