I loved volunteering with this family, incredible, empathetic people who make you feel like part of the family. I stayed for 13 days, work was peaceful and the comfort of the home and food were perfect.

Besides the fact that the living quarter doesn’t lack anything to make your stay suited to your comfort level, Ana & Pantaleo are extremely accommodating.
The kids are bright, funny, and very fun to be around. I miss them dearly.

Sharing meals and conversations with them is a very pleasant experience. The two boys, Luca and Matteo, are smart, funny and very active. On my days off, I went to the places they advised and Ana's daughter also took me to beautiful beaches nearby. My son and I fell in love with Boldo (the dog) and Noah ( the cat). Both stole our hearts with their sweetness.
The boys ( theirs and mine) played a lot together and hopefully my Lucca was able to help Luca and Mateo to practice their Portuguese.

Ana and Pantaleo were very welcoming and warm host.
They made sure l have everything needed and made me feel at home. Also it was important for them that I will experience the region and enjoy my time at their home.
Working outside was fab and the kids added a lot of good energy:)

I learned and enjoyed so many new things: olive picking, beekeeping, planting trees, ... But most of all I got to know these beautiful people and beautiful Salento. Gitte was such a wonderful presence in our house! She stayed with us for over two months, having spent her 24th birthday, Christmas and New Year's Eve with our family. We were in very much at home and in very close contact, as we were going through severe Covid-related movement restrictions during her stay.

… read more efficiency. The primary purpose of her support was to look after the kids, and they adored her (also the pets got very affectionate to her). She also committed to a number of household and garden tasks (like helping us plant a small pinewood). She was full of initiative, and we never had to tell her twice what to do.
Before leaving, she wrote us a lovely rhyme describing each member of the family. It was hard to see her go, but we are sure we will see her again soon!

Stella and Guillaume were our first workawayers . Their initial two-weeks stay became a full month of collaboration and exchange. We had memorable dinners and a lot of fun together. Ana est une excellente cuisinière (nous nous sommes régalés à chaque repas !!!), elle est très protectrice, comme une deuxième maman. Matteo et Luca sont des petits garçons plein de vie, très attachants et de futurs grands champions de foot et de capoeira 😉 Pantaleo est un grand homme, plein de connaissances et très à l’écoute. We spent a wonderful month with Ana, Pantaleo Matteo, Luca and Joana. We were welcomed like kings, an outbuilding just for us with all the comfort and a very nice decoration. We spent moments in family that we will never forget, it is a family full of love with a big heart that welcomed us with open arms to make us share his daily life that we loved!!! They were very attentive to us, we never lacked anything. Ana is an excellent cook (we enjoyed each meal!!!), she is very protective, like a second mom. Matteo and Luca are small boys full of life, very endearing and future great champions of football and capoeira 😉. Pantaleo is a great man, full full of knowledge and very attentive. There are really no words to describe what we have experienced with them, it is unique, incredible and unforgettable.
