… read more work-awayer you can only dream of! Actually, you want to have her with you forever. She works wonderfully independently, finds her way around quickly and professionally prepares the most delicious vegan dishes. Anna-Lena brings a modern international flair with her, she speaks fluent German, she has an open spirit, she is interested, adventurous, she has good humor and is infinitely lovable. She has quickly become a beloved member of our family. I could always count on her. Anna-Lena was with us during a difficult time and she supported the situation so well. She has a keen sensibility and acts very socially. She was a real help. With her big heart, made our everyday life more colourful, brighter, more interesting and more beautiful. So to speak: "As a magical American-German lady, she blows in on the east wind and is practically perfect in every way." My absolut recommendation!

My time in Groß Schönebeck was absolutely wonderful. Sula and Philipp are amazing hosts that made me immediately feel at home. They are both good humored and fantastic conversation partners. … read more Nikolai is such a character but very funny and sweet. The cat, Lotti, quickly became one of my favorite cats ever!
In terms of responsibilities, I mostly cooked for the family. I prepared lunch and dinner most days, as well as did dishes and helped to keep the kitchen in order. I also did groceries. For the first week, it was just me and a friend in the house, as the family was on holiday. We took care of the cat and kept the house clean. Occasionally, I watched over Nikolai or helped in the garden with raking. I felt that the amount of work was very fair and I always felt very appreciated by Sula and Philipp, so it was very rewarding. They are an easy-going family that are easy to communicate with and will gladly adjust their needs to whatever you would like to take on around the house.
The accommodation is fantastic. The room that I stayed in was the nicest room I have ever lived in, and there was a bathroom right across the hall that was very private. I was able to do work on my computer and be productive in complete peace from my room. The house itself is stunningly beautiful.
I think it is important for future workaways to realize that the house is very far from the city, which is nice because it is so peaceful in the village, but important to know if you want to go to the city often. You have to take a train for an hour, and then an S-bahn for another 20 minutes to get to the city center. The train from the village only runs every 2 hours and stops early in the evening most days. It costs 6.10 euro. I honestly enjoyed the train journey, but at times it was annoying when I would miss the train and have to wait for two hours for the next one. For these reasons, I think staying with this host would be better suited to someone who doesn't want to go into the city too often.
My favorite memories are going cycling with Sula to the lake near the house and going to a guitar concert at the church the first day I arrived. My one regret is that is that I did not stay longer with this family.Só é possível entrar em contato com Workawayers com assinaturas ativas.

The two months I stayed here, though sometimes rainy, will always stay in my heart. This was my first workaway and I could have not asked for a better experience. Sula was (and is) an amazing host and wonderful person. The house is big and beautiful and I felt very at home there. If you're into drawing, cooking, sitting in the sun, endless fields,
… read more forest, lakes,.... you will find happiness here. Both kids are amazing, the bigger one loves building and deconstructing stuff (he builds small bombs but don't worry, they're not dangerous, only quite loud), the smaller one loves singing, all types of vehicles and especially the Rasenmähertraktor. During my stay I got to meet most of Philipps and Sulas family and friends who were very welcoming and just awesome in general. The village is small but not too small, I spent my first weeks with exploring the forest around which is beautiful and basically endless. On some evenings when laying in bed you can hear chicken, frogs and sometimes goats. I'm definitely leaving a piece of my heart with the 🐴-family <3

Avi was a big help to me. He saw exactly where help was needed, thought along and made useful suggestions. He is independent and at the same time likes to think along for the group. Avi was a great professional support in terms of computers and motivated & supported me in an amazing way to start my website. He also made various delicious raw cakes

I had a wonderful time staying in Groß Schönebeck... The house is warm with love and intention.
Sula is a super marvelous and sweet person, and an amazing artist!
Also had a great time playing together with the boys in the snow and happy travels with Nikolai. Both kids are gifted with genius level brains and very good hearts.

Our children produced and designed great things through her. Our big boy had a lot of fun with Marit and I could see the little one developing in creative play.

This was my first workaway experience, and It was such a great experience! I stayed with the family for almost 5 weeks and did a did a variety of tasks. My main task was to look after their youngest son in the afternoon. I didn’t have a lot of experience with small children, but Nikolai is sweet and easygoing, so that was not a problem at all. I
… read more also helped the oldest son with homework and other project. Juri is such a nice boy and will include you in his projects and even practice German with you if you want to! The tasks were never hard and the family always seemed to apreciate the work I did wether it was cooking or spending time with their children. The family was always super welcoming and interested in getting to know me and I immediately felt like part of the family. If you want to take small trips around the area or go to Berlin in the weekend, they are always helpful with different ideas on what to see.
