    Description

    Hola!
My name is Omar. I’m a popular Mexican singer-songwriter with a YouTube music channel (150,000+ subscribers). I compose original songs and also cover well known artists.

At home, I have a professional recording studio with cameras, microphones, instruments, green screen, and everything needed to create high-quality videos — and I’m looking for a kind, open-minded person to help me with this creative space.

Since 2020, I’ve had the honor of hosting a number of volunteers through Workaway. Over time, this project has become highly requested, and only a few applicants are selected each year to be part of this experience.

This is not your typical volunteer stay. It’s a personal, artistic, and cultural immersion — perfect for young people seeking inspiration, authenticity, and fun while travelling.

You’ll be welcomed into a safe, relaxed, and creative environment, surrounded by the warmth of real Mexican life, just minutes from the beach. Here, meaningful connections, personal growth, and artistic freedom come together naturally.

If you're in a gap year, searching for a new direction, or simply drawn to experiences that leave a lasting mark... this might be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for!
Become someone who can help me bring stories and music to life!

Veracruz is a medium-level touristic city, focused on sea-tourism, so if you like the beach and sunny days, you will love it! (Even at winter, the weather is sunny).

    -Latin America’s first fire department.
-Favorite mexican city of Weezer’s band frontman Rivers Cuomo.
    - The anímated movie "Scooby Doo and the mexican monster" had place in Veracruz

Some movie scenes filmed at Veracruz:
    - Apocalypto (Mel Gibson)
    - Clear and Present Danger (Phillip Noyce - Harrison Ford - Willem Dafoe)
    - Romeo + Juliet (Baz Luhrmann - Leonardo DiCaprio - Claire Danes)
    - Collateral Damage (Andrew Davis - Arnold Schwarzenegger)
    - Romancing the stone (Robert Zemeckis)
    - Narcos (Netflix)
    - Atrapen al gringo (Mel Gibson)

If you love stories, music, sunshine, walking barefoot, trying new foods, learning new rhythms, making meaningful connections, and exploring life beyond the usual... this is your moment.

Here, every day brings something different: a song, a new dish, a word you’ve never heard, or a walk that ends in a secret river spot. You’ll soak up the warmth of the sun, the kindness of real people, and the feeling of being part of something creative, natural, and alive.

✨ Want to practice Spanish? I’ll share everyday language, cultural tips, and local expressions you won’t find in textbooks.
🎸 Always wanted to learn guitar, bass, or drums? I can teach you — or if you’re already a musician, let’s jam!
🌊 You’ll swim in rivers, the sea, and discover stunning natural places that most tourists never see.
🥗 You’ll enjoy homemade meals every day (with vegan and vegetarian options if needed).
🤝 You’ll make new friends, not just in Mexico — but with people from all over the world who’ve passed through this journey before you.
🌞 And yes — the sun shines beautifully here. If you're hoping to tan, this weather is perfect for you.

But more than all that...you’ll remember this as a time when you felt truly yourself — creative, connected, and inspired.

    🚨 *Spots are very limited.*
I can only host one person at a time, and there are just a few openings left this year.
👉 Send me a message as soon as you feel the call — I’d love to hear from you.

  • Aide

    Aide

I’m looking for support on artistic projects and easy household tasks.

In the past, male and female volunteers have contributed by:
    – Simple cooking/cleaning
    – Appearing on camera
    – Sharing their language

Activities vary depending on the moment and creative flow.

*You don’t need to be an actor/actress — just someone comfortable being open to being directed. If you've ever dreamed of being part of something artistic and meaningful, this is a beautiful space to explore that side of you.

    **You'll enjoy this experience:
Long walks by the ocean. Sunset swims. Quiet moments in nature. Exploring hidden beaches, local cafés, waterfalls, and scenic hilltops. Whether you're resting under the sun, dancing barefoot in the sand, or just laughing over fresh fruit in a hammock — you’ll feel the joy of being fully present.

*Languages we can share: English, Italian, German, Japanese, and much more...!
I’ll help you practice your Spanish!

One of the most beautiful parts of this experience is the chance to explore places that feel straight out of a dream — peaceful, vibrant, full of life and nature’s magic. If you’re someone who loves discovering hidden gems, taking stunning photos, and just feeling alive, these are for you:

    🌺 Isla de Enmedio
A small island that looks like paradise — with turquoise water, soft white sand, and colorful sea life like turtles, iguanas and little crabs.
This is my personal favorite. It’s like walking inside a postcard.

    🌊 Mandinga
A charming fisherman’s village where you can eat delicious seafood and take a relaxing canoe ride through peaceful mangroves. Sunsets here are unforgettable.

    🌿 Cinco Chorros
Five little waterfalls surrounding a crystal-clear natural pool in the forest. Fresh, magical, and perfect for a refreshing dip.
(I even have a video from the last time I went — it’s just stunning.)

🏞 Cascadas de Texolo – in the magical town of Xico
A hidden jungle oasis with a powerful waterfall and a peaceful vibe that feels cinematic.

    🏔 Pico de Orizaba
The tallest mountain in Latin America! Whether you hike or just admire its majesty, it’s unforgettable.

    🌀 Pancho Poza
A calm, secret river and waterfall hidden in Altotonga. Natural pools, clean air, and absolute peace.
This one is also one of my favorites — pure serenity.

    🏛️ Cempoala Ruins
If you’re into history and ancient cultures, these indigenous ruins offer a quiet place to connect with Mexico’s past.

    ---

    🏙 And in the City…

    🐢 The Aquarium
The second-largest in Mexico — home to sharks, penguins, otters, turtles, dolphins, and more. Great for a fun afternoon!

    🎭 Downtown Veracruz
Watch traditional dances, enjoy local snacks, talk to locals, explore colonial architecture, and soak in the soul of the city.

    🚴 El Boulevard
Perfect for bike rides, rollerblading, morning runs, or simply walking by the sea with the breeze on your face. Great seafood spots, too!

    🐠 Cancuncito
A dreamy spot in the middle of the ocean where the water is crystal clear and full of colorful fish. You can snorkel and float for hours.

    💦 Aquatico Inbursa – Waterpark
If you're in the mood for a full day of fun, slides, and laughter, this is the place.

    ---

✨ Whether you’re into nature, culture, sunsets, ocean swims, or spontaneous road trips, this project isn’t just about work — it’s about discovering the kind of joy that stays with you forever.
