  Hi! We are currently based in the heart of Tuscany, one of the most beautiful regions of Italy. We are surrounded by hills, rivers and streams. Stunning walks such as the pilgrimage route from Rome to Canterbury at your doorstep! You can swim in the natural areas, cycle or walk. An hour away from Firenze by direct coach, we are well linked to all the rest of the country! If you are sporty there is an Olympic swimming pool, running paths and more. Shops, a library, two cinemas and a theatre minutes away from home.

  We all speak English and Italian as we lived abroad for years. I also speak Japanese. I am a qualified English teacher and you can practice conversation with us. You can connect with the local community easily because there is a pub, a library, cinemas and a theatre where they do events. There are concerts and music in the square throughout the summer. I am passionate about travels and Asia in particular. I will love to hear your story!

  Ajuda

  I’m a full working single parent with two daughters and I need someone who is flexible and patient to help me with them, cooking and daily house chores. I have a toddler and an English speaker 10-year old.
  I would love to have someone who could cook for all following our eating habits (international, healthy, wholesome and mostly but not limited to plant based food). Great if you can follow my recipe books!
  In particular I need help to keep the house clean and tidy, like the kitchen/living room area and help my older daughter to keep her stuff tidy.
  In terms of personality, I need a proactive and patient person who knows what needs to be done in a house while helping my children grow in a positive and healthy environment. I want to cultivate a cosmopolitan and international environment at home and promote intercultural exchange, especially Asian culture.
  
  If you are efficient, you can have a lot of free time.
  Daily tasks sample:

  Take the bigger one to the school bus stop
  Empty the dishwasher and store the dishes
  Cook dinner for all (to be eaten at about 6.30pm)

  Meet me with the little one back home
  Play with the little one while I take a shower
  Spend time with the bigger one while I take the baby for a bath, get dinner ready

  Empty the washing machine and hang the laundry to dry
  Take the rubbish out
  Buy groceries (refunded)
  Take/collect the bigger one to Scouting at about 6pm (this involves going to the camp on a Sat or Sunday)
  Sweep the floor (only ground floor)
  Clean the guest bathroom (the one you’ll use, while I’ll take care of my one)

  I am passionate about Asia. That's why we prefer an au pair that could speak the language to the baby, or if an English speaker, that could transfer some Asian culture to my kids. We are a multilingual and cosmopolitan family.

  Acomodação

  You will have a dedicated room and toilet. Please keep it clean. This room is my older daughter room so please take care of it. You can have three free meals a day. You are free to explore/go sightseeing on weekends but if you stay home please cooperate to keep the routine going.

  This is a children environment and we need to stay safe. Please respect each other.
  
  We only take female applicants.
  
  You can reach us by public transport from Firenze or Poggibonsi train station.
  I don’t have a car but the house is in the city centre and close to all shops and services.
  We are a mum with two kids and we work hard so please respect our space by keeping it clean and tidy.
  House rules:
  
  We take off our shoes and wash our hands when entering the house AND before cooking/touching the baby.
  
  We are mindful about electricity, water consumption and gas bills.
  
  Keep your phone on silent mode except for incoming calls. You may answer calls but please be considerate about people around you. You can spend time on your phone in your room during your personal time, using earphones. We usually listen to music on weekends, especially on lazy mornings or while cooking.
  
  Your room has my daughter stuff in it and it connects to a balcony, which is where we hang our laundry. Please be patient and let us in and through during the day. We will let you know. You may shut the door when resting/sleeping so that we don’t disturb you.

  I rely on my phone for the internet. I have no wifi at home but you can use a hotspot with limited data. I will consider installing internet at home for a long-term au pair.
