I don't even know where to start, these 3 months have been a blast! Ana welcomed me with open arms from the first day, showing me an unlimited patience with my continuous Spanish questions, helping me with the language and giving me a lot of freedom to fully enjoy my Spanish experience. She showed me around, gave me great tips, and we laughed sooo
… read more much together! I cherish every moment I spent with her because she made me feel appreciated. She is incredibly nice, it's like having a sister, a motivational coach, a therapist, but most importantly, a reliable FRIEND.
As someone else said, Lope is indeed like an old man, he might not be very cheerful but he is such a nice and loving dog, he is very sweet and prone to cuddle (bonus point).

Giulia stayed with us for 3 wonderful months and it was very hard to say goodbye to her!
She is the best as a flatmate: funny, loving, well organised and always creating a happy atmosphere around her. I'll miss our jokes, our grammar lessons, our deep conversations, the incredible focaccia... everything!

Aldan stayed with us for more than 3 months and it was of great help having him around! He is very reliable and always ready to help with a smile on his face. I spent almost 3 months with Ana and Lope and had the absolute BEST time. Ana is the best host you could ask for, she made me feel at home straight away, always gave me great recommendations for things to do in Terrassa, always had interesting bits of Spanish culture to share and her music, culinary skills and general lifestyle truly inspired me!
… read more My trip wasn’t so prepared yet I felt there was always cool stuff to do thanks to her whether it’d be climbing up a mountain or go to see a human castle. Lope is a weirdo yet impossible not to love, it was really rewarding to learn how to take care of him, the hardest part of the job was obviously saying goodbye! She's also aware of what has to be done to keep the house clean and in good condition, keep a healthy diet and have good habits, making her a great roommate. Last but not least, she was very understanding of Lope's peculiar mindset and I think she was able to appreciate his weirdnesses. In return, he totally loved her, although he would play mind games with her some days hahaha... I hope we can see her back home very soon!Fotos

A very chill and beautiful experience in Terrassa <3
Staying with Ana and Lope was a very fullfiling experience. During this time I was focusing in studying Japanese and this was the perfect environment to do so.

I also learned a lot from Anna about dog behaviour, the importance of dog training and the best strategies for dealing with certain special needs some dogs might have, which I found very useful. The area itself is really well connected to the city centre of Terrassa and Barcelona, yet has everything you need right around the corner too. It's quiet and has lots of lovely routes for dog walking which I really enjoyed with Lope.

It is hard to write this. Anything I will write here feels superficial compared to the experience I have lived with Ana. I have tears running up just thinking about it. We have both been so lucky to find each other for our first Work Away experience. I stayed for one and a half month. I only left because I had other plans coming up. Lope (the dog
… read more if you need me to remind you) is a sweet old man. Super kind with all people, his favourite being Ana of course. Ana will easily explain the steps you need to follow to be a good dog-walker / dog-sitter. Ana and I shared our daily life together. I also worked online, so a typical work day would be: morning walk, breakfast, work, someone cooking lunch, eating, someone doing the dishes, siesta, work, afternoon walk, afternoon activity, cooking dinner, eating dinner and hanging out. Do not worry though, there is no real time to settle in a routine. Ana has multiple friends and projects, and therefore many plans to offer to make life busy and exciting. As I want to learn Spanish, we tried our best to speak Spanish together at least 30 min every day. She also helped me expanding my vocabulary list. Really good food, conversations, and a feeling of home and comfort. I am forever grateful I crossed her path.
