  Looking for general help with the yard (mowing lawn, planting vegetables), general maintenance outdoors such as painting and staining, cleaning indoors, some building and diy, getting supplies in Sechelt and Gibsons, occasional trips to Vancouver (and potential overnight stays in Vancouver apartment where you can explore Stanley Park, English Bay, downtown, very central).
  
  Beautiful spring time on the Sunshine Coast, beach nearby, hiking trails thru gorgeous forest, social and music venue with live music 4 nights a week. Lodging is dependent on time frame ( private renovated trailer, room in shared house) Able to follow directions well and work and live independently at times is important. Couples are welcome.
  
  Also we have a 10 mont old puppy at my boyfriends. If our workers enjoy dogs, they can help walk the dog at beach and forest occasionally as part of their jobs :)
  
  If you have food sensitivities, or specific needs as in worked hours of the day, specific diet ECT. , please let me know. I can accomodate but appreciate to know in advance to prepare.
  
  
  Hello! My name is Daniela and I live in Roberts Creek. It is a beautiful, lush and friendly coastal town on the Sunshine Coast, 90 minutes away from Vancouver downtown by ferry and bus, Many artists, musicians, and homesteaders live in this area. We live near the forest hiking trails, miles of beaches, and a social and interesting small town. I am first generation Canadian, from an Italian father and French mother. I am a physiotherapist, a rock climber, a vocalist and piano player, as well as a spiritual person and very curious about the world. I love travelling and meeting new people, but i also like to spend time alone reading, playing or listening to music, and chilling out. I live on a large property with 3 buildings, vegetable garden and fire pit, and I like having workaways stay frequently to share my passions, introduce people to the area, share travel stories. With an old collar bone injury that i have from a car accident in Mexico, getting extra hands on deck is always welcome. I am recovering from some recurrent injuries at the moment, so rides to therapy and help around the house is sometimes on the menu.
  
  I have extensive knowledge of hiking, climbing, camping in BC and the rockies and at one time, had my truck kitted out for weeks and months of living outside in BC, so I know the hidden gems. I have travelled a lot to Mexico, backpacked thru Guatemala, Thaland, Peru, and Europe, and played guitar on the ramblas of Spain.
  
  I am easy going, adaptable, and appreciate clear communication. I know what it is like to be a traveler. and the desire to experience new areas and cultures. I am a social person, but I also make lots of time for myself.
  
  Occasional trips to Vancouver usually 1-2 days where i have a place for me and a workaway to stay, near stanley park and engllish bay
  
  Important note/ i am allergic to chemical scents. fabric softener and perfumes, colognes and body sprays.

  Assets: Drivers license and ability to drive in Canada, Ability to help and live independently at times. Ability to communicate in english or french at an intermediate to advanced level. Likes to go to ocean/lakes /pool/sauna/hot tub (is my best therapy and I would like to go more) Couples are welcome as sometimes I am away for short periods of time

General maintenance indoor and outdoor such as painting, staining and upkeep, help with driving, and/or housesitting , yard tasks like mowing lawn and pruning bushes, help around the house, diy projects such as building rain water collection system and other wood projects, organizing and cleaning.

  Roberts Creek has lively music scene with opportunity to play music with others, and attend art exhibitons on a regular basis. There is opportunity to learn about sustainable housing, edible plants from nature such as mushrooms and wild flowers, and a vast knowledge from its inhabitants of living off the land.
  
  We are also very close to Vancouver and it is easy to go by public transit to Vancouver.
  
  There are a lot of artists, musicians, organic farms, mushroom pickers, mountain bikers, kite surfers, and some paragliding instructors, friends of mine. The small community is very friendly and gather often in the year round for celebrations, such as Creek Daze, the mandela painting, earth day, Christmas potluck, art crawls. and music festivals. There is the opportunity to fish on lakes and the ocean, and gather and forage in the forests. I have experienced the great hikes, hot springs, areas to visit, and secluded camping spots in most of lower BC and can share my knowledge. I have travelled in many areas of the world. I am happy to share my knowledge of Italian, Spanish or French, and also able to help people wanting to practice and improve their English, or French.
  
  Roberts Creek is located on Squamish First Nation Land, and there is opportunity to connect with and learn to learn about our First Nations neighbors. We had a march with over 1000 attendees from the community on July 1st in support of the First Nations Band.

  Ayuda

  The help required varies a lot depending on who you are and when you arrive. It is best to contact me with your time frame to find out more precisely what will be required at the time of your travel.
  
  This summer we will be harvesting from the garden vegetables, other things that can happen are , maintenance such as painting/organizing, driving for supplies, shopping or to the aquatic center, some help in the house and sometimes cooking. Summer is full of going to the lake and ocean for swims, local camping if possible, occasional outside guests to host at the property.
  
  This Fall/ winter I will be working on yoga/exercise studio.

  Alojamiento

  Workaways are sharing the main house this year, and there is also a small suite with outdoor washroom and hot shower in the studio cabin. The main house has a large outdoor covered patio, with dining area, BBQ, two large comfy couches. There are 2 rooms in the house.
  
  The wellness cabin has an infrared sauna, gym equipmentand open space for yoga and stretching, It has tall ceilings, and is full of natural light from windows and skylights.
  
  I have several bikes that can be borrowed and I am open to the use of my vehicles for short local private excursions.

  I am a positive and inspired musician and health professional. This property is my dream, and sharing this little piece of heaven with with like-minded people is my goal. My future plans for the property are to ease lodging shortage on the Sunshine Coast, build healthy and sustainable living accommodations, create a healing space and a music space for collaboration, and in the distant future, to allow foster kids from the city to experience and appreciate living near the land and water, in a loving community. I am hoping to allow for the opportunity to explore and be inspired by nature and music, and living off the land.
