Descrição
We run a beautiful alpine Rifugio in the mountains of Friuli, in the far eastern side of the Alps. We are based in Forni di Sopra, in the heart of the Dolomites Natural Park. Our mountains are wild and rugged. We are surrounded by forest and rocky slopes. We are a young group of friends managing the Rifugio, we work a lot but always having fun and spending time together. Often in the evening we make a fire and we enjoy the time in this beautiful and stunning landscape. We are situated at 1400 meters above sea level, here the summer is great, not too cold and not too hot.

We all have been traveling around the world and we speak fluent english and some of us also german. We live here in the mountains all year round and we know these amazing places very well. We will be very happy to share with you our secrets spots to explore and enjoy. From our Rifugio there are plenty of hiking and adventure opportunities. We all share the love for nature and our environment, we organize guided hiking trips throughout all the season, as well as nature education courses and events.

Ajuda
The kind of work we request varies depending of the month you gonna stay with us. Our season goes from late May, early Jun, until the end of September. Work includes: washing dishes, cleaning rooms and main areas, help in the kitchen gardening, cleaning hiking trails, maintenance of the forestry road that leads to us.
We provide food and accommodation for Workawayers that will stay with us. Contact us directly via the site messenger for more information.

Acomodação
The type of accommodation may vary depending on the month you decide to spend with us. We have a small house for staff or when some rooms are free you could use one of the guest rooms in the main Rifugio. An other alternative could be setting up your own tent in a very nice lawn right by the forest. We will discuss what’s available when we will get in touch.

The Rifugio is one and a half hour, on foot, away from the town of Forni di Sopra where you could find a lot of different awesome activities to do. From Forni you could drive 45 minutes to Cortina d'Ampezzo or the majestic Tre Cime di Lavaredo. There are plenty of trails around the area, we will be happy to share our knowledge and give advices on what to do in your spare and free time. Twice a day there are busses departing from Forni di Sopra to various destinations. The closest big city is Udine, 1.5 hour by car and 2.5 hours by bus.
By staying with us we expect you to respect the natural beauties and the environment we live in.

We have a standard internet connection that usually works very well, but we live in a remote place, so can be that is not as perfect as in town.
