Graham welcomed us into his home in Prades for two and a half weeks during October and November. Over our stay, we worked on two main projects: putting down a new floor with built-in heating and clearing the front garden of weeds and vines. Each day (excluding the weekends) had around 4 hours of work with a tea break about halfway through. We

Graham taught us many things over the duration of our stay- things from DIY construction skills to a crash course in whiskey, wine and cheese. The accommodation was a beautiful room built in the summer which had a XL King bed. There was also a private bathroom for us as well.
We had the pleasure of staying with Debra and Graham's father John. Debra is a lovely and passionate person who gave us some solid career advice and was great to talk with. John who has a great sense of humour was also a huge help with the building project and great company throughout the day.
The meals were exceptional and Graham is an amazing chef. We learned many things in the kitchen including how to chop onions the right way, how to make the world's best duck sauce and how to properly zest a lemon (LOL). Graham is a brilliant teacher so don’t be afraid of doing something out of your comfort zone. We even learned how to drive a (small) tractor! Throughout our stay, we tried many new things with Graham and felt very welcome with his patient teaching style and work hard play hard outlook on life.
We are very thankful for the time we got to spend at Graham's and have developed a passion for trying more complex recipes in our own home! This was our first Workaway experience and it has been an excellent time. We recommend this Workaway experience to anyone willing to try new things and work hard :).

We hosted Claire and David for two weeks in October, a delightful young couple. Their ‘have a go’ attitude was inspiring …nothing seemed to phase them. It wasn’t all work and no play, the weather was warm, lots of sun, so in between their own interesting media activities, they enjoyed some local walks and local market. One day we managed a day-trip to Spain to pick up a garden tractor up over the high Pyrenees towards Andorra. In the kitchen I believe they found a new passion for baking and nailed a tasty lemon cake recipe.
As always when meeting new people we enjoyed exchanging stories, had some great meals often with a glass of nice local wine and cheese. It was a pleasure to get to know David and Claire and wish them well in their future adventures together. Many thanks to you both. Cheers Graham, John, DebraComentário
