Description
We are an easy going family.
Danilo (55, independent software developer), Alessandra (55, psychotherapist), Nicolò (23) and Cecilia (21).
Nicolò is attending (Engineering) at the Unversity of Oslo. Good-mannered with everybody (except with his sister ;-) with a passion for the world of film-making. Usually really busy as a volunteer in a Scout group and in the local Red Cross Committee.
Cecilia is tender and a more dynamic person. She is taking her gap-year, in order to decide which direction give to her life. She Is fond in languages, mainly the east ones, like Japanese. She also likes to spend time with her friends, her motorbike and express herself in various things.
We have also two beautiful siberian cat (Asij and Rucola).
They live in our main house located in the city center, not in the house where we are planning to ask you for help.
We like to meet other people, so we have often some guests at home, and we had experience foreigner guests.
We are respectful of other's privacy but we also like to share experience.
If you like we can help you in learning Italian.
We live in Rimini because it is a not-so-small, not-so-big, friendly city, nice in winter and with a lot of surprising things to do in summer!
We are founder of the local GAS (ethical purchasing groups) and also proud members of Greenpeace, WWF and MSF.

They could learn to live in an Italian-Style family. A cheerful atmosphere and he/she will discover parts of the tipical italian background. We often share moments, evenings or even day-off with friends.
Aide
We have a country house where we grow olives and where we need your help in order to keep the garden in good conditions. Es. Cutting the grass, control the growth of brumbles and bamboos, organize and keep in order the wood shed and the tool shed.
We can make a weekly schedule of our's and your's needs so that you can organize better your spare time.

We hosted two times a girl in exchange of japanese lessons (for our doughter!), but we are now interested in practicing spanish.
Hébergement
We will make available to you a room in this house that you have to take care of.
We have a preference for an organic and vegetarian diet, but we are not strict and sometimes we can also have fish or meat.

The house is located on the hills, in the surroundings of Rimini, less than 6 km. from the city center, interconnected with a public bus.
What to do in Rimini during your free time ? Lots of things!
Rimini was a Roman ancient Town, so you can find interesting walking on an old roman bridge or going throw Arco d'Augusto (a roman triumph arch) and discover other really nice places.
But there are more modern attractions, Rimini is a touristic town.
We have some of the best ice cream shops in Italy! We simply LOVE them. You HAVE TO TRY them all!
The beach can be easily reached by bike in 20 min. (which is the largest in Italy and it is very well equipped for outdoor beach sports)
The surroundings hills are smooth and very suitable for bikers. You can find lots of typical restaurants, often located in enchanting villages.
In Rimini and in the surroundings, there's plenty of amusement parks: Aquatic parks (Aquafan), Aquaria (Parco Le Navi), Theme parks (Mirabilandia, Fiabilandia and Italia in Miniatura) even an edutainment park with dolphins (Oltremare).
With public transportation you can reach San Marino, Verucchio, Santarcangelo.
A bit further you can find other nice medioeval small villages like San Leo or the Castle of Gradara
Rimini is in the very center of Italy. Well connected by train with the most actractive art heritage cities in Italy:
Ravenna, the capital city of the Western Roman Empire (40 min.)
Bologna, renowned for its culinary tradition (60 min.), but for good cooking you don't need to go so far! Romagna, our region, is renowned for really good food and good wine.

It was a real surprise to discover his ability to draw Manga. He cooked us many simple but tasty dishes so we could enjoy Japanese cuisine learning as well to cook a bit. He was gentle and very communicative. We enjoyed talking with him and discovering things about Japan.

I am so happy that I could enjoy this summer with this family.
