  Description

  We have a beautiful off grid rainforest property located at Topaz on the Atherton Tablelands. We are a young family (33 year old, 34 year old and 3 year old) and primarily need help with gardening and odd tasks. We have been members for nearly a decade and have welcomed many travellers to stay and help out on our farm during this time.
  
  We have multiple dwellings on our property and you will have your own room and access to bathroom and kitchen separate to our house however we love to share meals in our kitchen. Our property is about half an hour from Malanda and Yungaburra so you will need your own transport to be able to explore the Tablelands.

  Our property is protected as a Nature Refuge and adjoins Woonoonoran National Park. We have revegetated our property for conservation and sustainable timber. We often have cassowaries walking on our front lawn and we see lots of amazing wildlife daily. I am trained as an Environmental Scientist/Biologist so the main thing I have to share is about our natural world and beautiful rainforest.

  Aide

  We mostly need help maintaining our garden and greenhouse where we grow trees for revegetation. Depending on the time of year garden tasks will be more or less. We also need help with spring cleaning and general property maintenance depending on your skills. For example: cleaning windows or walls, painting, assisting with projects we are working on at the time.
  
  We have a 3 year old daughter and another baby on the way so babysitting could be on the cards but only if it was something you were experienced in and comfortable doing. We always have renovation plans and are updating something that we need help with. I also love art and often have a large project on the go for example at the moment it is a big mural on one of our sheds but soon I will be doing more mosaic on the side of our house. It depends when you visit what is happening but I can give you can idea ahead of time what we need help with before you agree to come.

  Hébergement

  You will have your own room in a dwelling separate to ours. You also have your own bathroom and kitchen with all ammenities (however we prefer to eat together in our house - up to you). Laundry is shared.

  We are mostly plant based so that's the type of food we have on offer but happy for you to bring and eat meat and dairy (we sometimes do too).
  
  We have a business, you won't be required to do any work for this.
