Hi, We are Simone and Carol
We are a hard worker Italian-Tico couple, which right now work everyday with the goal of make our place get better and better to give to our guests and volunteers a good memory to take back home and a great reason to come back and stay with us again.
We are 5 minutes away from downtown and Tamarindo beach, one of the most beautiful beaches of Costa Rica.
Tamarindo, special place to watch a stunning unforgettable sunset, enjoy an endless summer kind of life, swim and surf in one of the favorites surf spots of our country, meet great people, practice other languages, and make friends that come from all around the world.
Minimum age is 23, please don`t message if you`re younger than that, When you message us, put "PURA VIDA" as your first sentence so we can make sure you have read our profile description.
If you want to be a volunteer at our place, you can have all above, just need to love team work, be a proactive and easygoing person and speak Spanish and English and of course collaborate with us during 4 hours/day, 5 days/week and it would be better if you stayed a month or more.
Our Hostel property has beautiful swimming-pool, a secure parking lot, full equipped common kitchen, rancho with hammocks to chill out, spacious common full bathrooms, internet wifi, and a A/C Dorm.
We are also surrounded by beautiful almond trees and sometimes raccoons and iguanas. We hope you love nature.
We love good manners, happy faces, collaboration spirit, order and organization skills and humbles souls.

In our staff we have 2 maid for the general cleaning and my wife and I work 24/7 in all task, for volunteers we require mainly customer attention and some small tasks like as helping fold the sheets, keeping the staff kitchen clean, some gardening, and various other tasks based on your skills.

There are so many things to do on your time off here.
Surfing, footing, yoga, live music, gastronomic experiences, zip-lining, free-diving, snorkeling, crocodile tours, paddle-boarding, baby turtle watching, dolphins, catamarans, volcanos and hot-springs. And of course night life experiences.
Many of these things are accessible by walking, the rest by public transit or by booking a tour.

I had a great experience volunteering here last August - September! It was my first time doing a work away and It was such a great experience! The work was simple and very manageable. The location was perfect, it was a 2 minute walk from the beach. I met so many people from around the world! definitely recommend this workaway.

Pretty light work, only 4hr/day and you get 2 consecutive days off (can travel nearby). Owners are flexible with off days and switching shifts as long as you communicate. I had the best time - Carol and Simone were great and very hospitable. Very chilled vibe from the hostel and all the volunteers. The work was good and pretty easy. Marco is a fantastic volunteer, available for any task, during his presence (one month) he created a great atmosphere with guests and volunteers delighting them with his fantastic dinners of pasta and pizza and more. Solving any problems of the hostel and guests. Super recommended

It was very nice to be a volunteer here.
I stayed 2 months in this nice and chill hostel, 5 minutes away to the beach and the center, working only 15 hours a week i had a lot of time to explore the area and relax, watched the sunsets.

Sadly they didn't show up and didn't explain us at time neither. We were worry about their safety wondering what happened to them, finally after our messages they answered saying that they were taking some vacations what we don't have any problem about, but we could appreciated if they just let us know before.

I volunteered for two weeks at the beginning of February, and I loved my time in Tamarindo! I was provided a tent for accommodations, and Russ (manager) was more of a friend than a boss. If you're looking for a place to volunteer, then I can highly recommend the Eco hostel. Great energy/vibes, a true pura vida experience.
