    Description

I manage a 20-hectare organic and biodynamic winery in the rolling hills of Chianti Classico, just 15 km south of Florence. My focus is on sustainable farming, growing grapes, and crafting wines that truly reflect our land. I live on one of the two vineyards I own and oversee, accompanied by Greta, my friendly schnauzer.

My sons often visit and contribute to the winery’s operations. Our home includes a separate yet connected guesthouse with its own kitchen and bathroom.

As a team, we are committed to clean agriculture, preserving the authenticity of our terroir. Our winemaking relies on indigenous yeasts and the natural integrity of the grapes. Caring for the garden and vegetable patch is an integral part of our daily life.

Depending on the season, guests may help with household maintenance, work in the vegetable garden, participate in tastings, and assist with general housekeeping. Meals vary based on work schedules, group size, and preferences. Our diet is largely flour-based—I bake fresh bread twice a week, and pasta is a staple. Unfortunately, due to the high risk of contamination, we’re unable to accommodate gluten-free diets.

In the coming months, the primary help needed will be housekeeping and garden maintenance.

I'm the proud owner of a biodynamic farm that offers guests an immersive experience. From learning about farming and gardening to pitching in with house repairs and maintenance, there's always something new to discover. But that's just the beginning—we also dive into the art of baking bread, creating fresh pasta, and exploring the fascinating world of fermenting vegetables.

My background? I grew up in North Africa, where my family tended vineyards in Tunisia and olive trees in Libya. After studying Economics in Florence, I went to Berklee College of Music in Boston where I pursued a degree in musical composition at Berklee College of Music. Then for ten years, I lived in NYC, playing music and selling wine part-time.

In 1999, I came back to Tuscany, where I started making wine and selling it worldwide. I speak Italian, French, English, and understand Spanish pretty well. I'm excited to share all these experiences with guests on the farm!

I am currently looking for support in housekeeping (cleaning, dusting, ironing, etc.) and maintaining our garden and vegetable patch. There may be occasional DIY projects, building work, and field duties. I value individuals who bring some prior experience, a willingness to learn, and a positive, can-do attitude.

Accommodation is either near the owner’s home or within the same house, depending on the number of guests and ongoing tasks. Shared meals occasionally take place, depending on everyone’s schedule. Each guest has a private room and access to a bathroom, along with basic amenities such as burners, an oven, and a refrigerator.
Please note that meals here are often centered around flour-based dishes. I bake fresh bread twice a week and frequently cook pasta. From my experience, accommodating gluten-free diets poses significant challenges due to potential cross contamination. As such, we regretfully cannot host individuals sensitive to gluten.

Tuscany offers countless treasures, from breathtaking landscapes to a rich cultural heritage. The farm is located in the Chianti Classico area, south of Florence—an art-filled city just 40 minutes away by bus. Siena is 50 minutes away, and Lucca about an hour. While bus travel is possible, it’s not very convenient: the nearest stop is a 30-minute walk from the farm and has a limited schedule. For greater freedom and flexibility, having your own transportation is highly recommended.

It depends, but in general, no. Interaction between dogs can sometimes be quite demanding, and dogs in pairs tend to run off.
