Hiya! I’m Ally from Hong Kong, an illustrator, storyteller, and creative soul currently on a long term journey exploring the world, one meaningful connection at a time. After walking the Camino de Santiago across Spain and Portugal, I’ve now landed in Australia for a one year Working Holiday.

Back home and in London, I worked as a costume maker and dresser for theatre productions. Over the years, I’ve also developed my art practice into something deeply personal, like creating illustrations, tattoos, and handmade pieces inspired by people’s stories, inner journeys, and the beauty of everyday life.

I love being in nature, sketching scenes from my travels, and exchanging cultures through food, language, and creativity. As a Workawayer, I’m respectful, independent, tidy, and always open to learning new skills: whether it’s gardening, animal care, language practice, or helping around the house!

I’m here not just to visit, but to connect and give back. I’d be grateful for the chance to share time and stories with you. Looking forward to meeting you :)

1. Illustration and Graphic Design: I have a strong background in illustration and graphic design, with experience in creating everything from logos to book covers to digital illustrations.

2. Handcrafts: I'm skilled in a variety of handcrafts and textile arts, including pattern making, sewing, crocheting, and knitting. I enjoy creating unique and beautiful pieces and am always eager to learn new techniques. I also have basic knowledge about woodworking.

3. Teaching Children: I have experience teaching drawing to children, and I'm passionate about helping kids develop their creativity and artistic skills. I also have strong communication skills and enjoy working with people of all ages.

4. Customer Service: I have experience working in customer service roles, including as a waitress and salesperson. I'm friendly, approachable, and always strive to provide excellent service to customers.

Overall, I'm a creative, reliable, and hardworking individual who enjoys learning new skills and taking on new challenges. I look forward to the opportunity to share my skills with potential hosts and to learn from them in return.
