I am delighted to introduce myself to you. My name is Ya-Chu, and I am a 23-year-old embarking on a solo-travel journey during my gap year.😊

Hailing from Taiwan, a land famous for its delectable bubble tea🧋 (yes, you've heard right! XD), I'm eager to share more about the wonders of my homeland. Taiwan boasts stunning subtropical landscapes, features diverse cultures, and holds the proud distinction of being the first country in Asia to legalize same-sex marriage!👭🧑‍🤝‍🧑

My academic background includes studying at the National Taiwan University, where I pursued a major in Business and double majored in Anthropology/Archaeology. Beyond academics, I am passionate about volleyball, a sport that brings me immense joy and fulfillment.🏐

When not spiking balls on the court, you can find me immersed in the pages of a good book, cherishing quality time with my loved ones, or indulging in the diverse array of delicious foods Taiwan offers.

While my love for Taiwan is profound, I embark on this gap-year journey eager to explore many different possible ways of living and hope to make real connections with people I might meet on the journey. I consider this journey as a precious opportunity to gain knowledge not just intellectually (as what I used to do as a student), but also physically and experientially, embracing the world with all of my being.😌

- Asian cuisine cooking.

- Cleaning excellence.

- Basic Painting, Restoration, and General Maintenance: I have experience (but certainly not proficient😆) in painting walls and restoring buildings from performing similar tasks during my family's home renovations.

- Basic Gardening: I've dabbled in gardening alongside my dad, helping him tend to the plants he likes, making me handy with soil, seeds, and sprouts.

- Marketing expertise:
◾Marketing work experience, including an internship at a world-top pharmaceutical company.
◾Graduated from National Taiwan University, majoring in Business/Marketing.

- Museum Work: I have worked at the Anthropology/Archaeological Museum in National Taiwan University, specializing in curation, planning, and marketing.

- Violin: I have been playing and studying violin for over ten years and am happy to teach some basic skills.

- Volleyball: I have been playing volleyball for five years, including serving as team captain.

- Swimming: I had been swimming competitively for six years as a member of the school team when I was in elementary school.
