I am a retired engineer, having worked over 45 years in a variety of management positions in the field of telecommunications and the operations and maintenance of such systems. Volunteering has great appeal to me; I am currently volunteering with the Canadian Red Cross as an emergency responder, and also deliver meals to seniors and individuals who have mobility challenges in my part of the city. Helping others has always brought me a measure of fulfillment and do so with enthusiasm and compassion. I am excited at the prospect of volunteering abroad, bringing help as needed to organizations or individuals while gaining valuable life experiences in a different country. I have a strong work ethic, am dependable and thrive in team environments. I believe I am also adaptable, have an ability to learn quickly and am respectful. During the course of my life, I have had the good fortune, whether for work or pleasure to visit over 25 countries around the world and it has been a most enriching experience. I like to travel and very much appreciate the beauty of nature and Creation everywhere. I am physically active, engaging in extended walks daily and resistance training 3 times a week.
