Hey (: my name is Vanadis, I'm 19 years old, come from Germany (Berlin) and graduated from high-school last year. My whole childhood I dreamed of travelling, working and living all around the world. Before I am going to study I want to make that dream happen. I am a really open minded person and interested into getting to know new lifestyles, countries, people and their culture. Travelling two years trough multiple coutries and continents, my goals are to actually live like a local and meanwhile be independent. But mostly I want to gain experiences and get out of my own comfort zone. I started my journey in october 2023 with my bestfriend Laura. We worked for a month at an amazing eco farm in western Ireland, where we learned a lot about a natural and healthy lifestyle. Afterwards we bakcpacked through Ireland, Wales and England. Currently I‘m in Morocco and excited to see where life will take me next.

Quais são suas habilidades?

In the past I gained experiences in my job as a tutor for teenagers struggling to keep up in school. I taught mathematics and physics and really enjoyed my work. Besides the job itself of structuring the lessons, I especially liked working with teenagers and seeing their process of learning.
As I am travelling now, I started teaching mathematics online. When ever I am home for a short period I work at the post office, sorting letters with the help of machines. It can be really stressful and physically demanding. But I see it as a kind of sport. That and the company of my colleagues makes me actually really enjoy my work.
Working and living on a farm I learned a lot of different skills, like how to prep food/harvest, making fire and taking care of farm animals. We also had the opportunity to take part in the yoga classes of our host, what was really amazing!
This year I worked in a hostel, where I did some wall paintings. Art and painting is for sure one of my passions. I love to get creative, when it comes to any kind of art projects.
Especially in the last two years I started to cook a lot and tried different new, mostly vegetarian and vegan, meals.

What I really enjoy are camping trips and trips in general. Especially in the past years I often went camping with friends. Unfortunately I dont always find enough time for stuff like hiking, paddling… but I’m looking forward to go on a few more hiking trips this year for sure. Mountain hikes are always such stunning experience. In general trying new sports and outdoor activities with friends is always great.
I am interested in arts, I paint a lot and love to experiment with different drawing means and artstyles.
I really enjoy reading books of almost all genres, even though I’m a reallyy slow reader.
In my future I probably want to study. But I still need time to figure it out.
For the next year I hope to see as much of the world as possible and gain new perspectives.
