Hello. My name is Julie, and I'm from London. From July 2022 until November 2023, I lived happily in exciting Tokyo and Osaka, Japan. Since leaving, I've visited Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, California, Malaysia, and Indonesia. I spent time with friends and volunteering in Sri Lanka before travelling to India for sightseeing and a Vipassana meditation course. From India, I travelled to Morocco and Spain before returning to the UK at the end of January 2025. My favourite thing is to travel and experience as much of this glorious world as possible, including volunteering at Buddhist meditation centres. In July, I plan to spend time in South and Central America. I've lived overseas in New York, Israel, Nepal, and, as a child, Australia. Before travelling to Japan, I journeyed through the Catalonian region for three fantastic months. I've met some wonderful people and found inspiration by sharing life and travelling experiences. I'm interested in ancient history and philosophy, and I enjoy writing short stories, usually futuristic themes. My mission is to live a mindful life, have a positive impact, and contribute some value. It's all about sharing the knowledge and helping each other.

Quais são suas habilidades?

I worked in the UK social sector for 16 years; it was challenging, eventful, and totally worth it. I have previously volunteered at a Kibbutz in the Negev desert, a charity school in Nepal, and Buddhist communities in Scotland, England, the USA and Malaysia. I have mentored Japanese students, and I have basic counselling skills. I have taught English since graduating in 2019.
