I'm very extroverted and thrive on meeting new people and sharing experiences! I love cooking, reading a good book, spending time outside, and adventuring around new, unfamiliar places in my downtime. Learning new and obscure fun facts about the planet and the specific environments I am in is a huge guilty pleasure of mine and I enjoy partaking in conversations surrounding various environmental topics as well!!

I've been fortunate enough to have already done some traveling in my life but after after living in the Bahamas for 4 months while doing a marine conservation internship I caught a case of the travel bug. That experience, plus a few others, gave me the confidence to put myself out there are go after what I want... which at the moment is a bunch of new adventures traveling around Europe!

Quais são suas habilidades?

I have a bachelor's degree in marine biology which taught me a lot about the importance of working hard and being passionate about your work. During my time at the university, I gained experience in various lab settings, doing hands-on fieldwork (shark tagging, coral nursery maintenance, technical diving, etc) and had the pleasure of teaching (working as a teaching assistant) for a first-year biology class lab session for two semesters.

Outside of my education, I have experience working as a farm hand on two different vegetable farms plowing, planting, harvesting, etc) and thoroughly enjoy manual labor both inside and outside. Most recently I WWOOF'd for an older gentleman who owned a farm and needed help cooking meals, maintaining the greenhouse and planting in the field, cleaning, organizing years of memories, and taking care of his wife.

I also have experience working as a deckhand aboard a tall ship and learned how to properly take care of the vessel and do whatever maintenance was needed to keep her in good shape. While working this job I also got to practice my public speaking skills. I should also mention I am only fluent in English but have a deep desire to learn another language and would love to help strengthen your English speaking if that is something of interest.

I am grateful to hopefully get the opportunity to travel and see more of the world and I hope that through these upcoming experiences, I will continue to learn more about myself and the way I want to live. Also, I love card games and would love to teach you some of my favorites if you can promise to teach me some as well!!

  I sometimes have allergies towards animals if they shed a lot but it has calmed down as I've gotten older and rarely bothers me.
