Hi all! My name is Tabyr and I am an adventuring artist! I studied music professionally in Boston for about two years, and enjoy creating art of all mediums. I grew up in rural Maine, where I spent my time outdoors in all seasons. Gardening, hiking, kayaking, and swimming were among some of my favorite activities! Within the last year, I took a deep dive into nutrition and wellness for the body and mind. Yoga, meditation, sustainability, and mindfulness are now practices that I live by.

I found a passion for culture and world travel from a very young age, so now that I am able to travel freely, I am taking full advantage of the amazing opportunities that WorkAway offers! It is important to me that my time traveling is spent learning and nurturing my intense curiosity! Learning about your land and culture, as well as any special skills that you can teach me, is what I would cherish in a workaway experience. I never shy away from learning something new, in fact, I embrace it fully! I truly believe that lifelong learning is the key to being a successful, happy member of society. For me, I’ve always found success in hands-on learning, through people and experiences, even if I wasn't always the best at the task at hand. You can’t grow if you don’t plant the seeds and water them!

Quais são suas habilidades?

I’ve studied music and art my whole life and professionally for about two years, so creativity is something that shines through in all of my work. I spent a total of five years doing weekly volunteer work at local hospitals and veterans homes, where I would provide therapeutic music workshops and performances for people of all ages. Working with people from all walks of life is something I find great fulfillment in! I love spending time outside working with plants and animals. I also enjoy growing my own food when the season permits! Getting my hands dirty excites me, and I love finding and creating new ways to accomplish a job! Spending time with children is also a favorite pastime of mine, as they tend to be full of life!

Aside from being creative, I also enjoy being active! Playing sports, biking, hiking, and exploring are all activities that I love. I am currently working to become a certified yoga teacher, as well as a certified personal trainer and nutrition coach. I also enjoy cooking and would love to learn some new recipes from different parts of the world!
