We started our year-long sabbatical in Nov 2023 from Delhi in our motorhome. We have come thru MP, Hyderabad, Karnataka, Kerala, Goa, Maharashtra, HP, Ladakh, J&K, Punjab & AP. Going back to Ladakh.

Hello!

We, Swetha & Nikhil, are a couple who believes in the power of travel to rejuvenate our soul, bring in transformation, teach acceptance, and inspire peace. We wish to travel around in search of new experiences, meet new people, be a part of like-minded communities and learn about culture and diversity. We both come from two different parts of South India and bring with us different cultures, food and languages. We have also travelled quite a bit together as well as solo and were fortunate enough to be a part of interesting experiences. We are looking forward to learning from our hosts and people we meet and would love to sharing our experiences with them. By doing so, we hope to explore our passions, find our purpose and teach our kid the importance of diversity.

Food is another thing that inspires us. We are always on the lookout for interesting local food and are game to try out anything. Cooking soothes Nikhil and eating good food satisfies Swetha! We are in pursuit of old traditional recipes of each region we would travel to and understand the place and people through its food.

Having lived in cities and urban environment for more than 30 years, we have a deep desire to connect with nature and live sustainably. We want our daughter to grow up with a connection with nature. We are also looking for opportunities to introduce our daughter to new learning experiences and other kids for her to socialise with.

Quais são suas habilidades?

We are both engineering graduates from IIT Kharagpur specializing in naval architecture. We have had 10 years of work experience in this engineering domain and handling projects worth billions of dollars. We are great with project coordination, analysis, and working with Microsoft Office tools. We both have a creative side to us. When we work on projects together, we bring out the best in each other!

Swetha loves paper quilling, knitting, and embroidery. She has also experience in social media management, graphic design & video editing. Nikhil is a karate black belt and loves games like chess, video games, and board games. He has basic Photoshop skills. We both share an interest in photography, solving Sudoku & are expert project managers. Our daughter loves to paint, cook, sing, dance, and of course play!
