For years now I have had an itch to volunteer while travelling, to learn new skills and live more aligned with our true nature . I'd love to be as self sustainable as possible by learning different building and farming techniques. After quitting my 'normal' job in finance and operations I have been working at festivals during the summer, building outdoor structures. I am physically fit and have studied yoga intensively over the last 9 years and try to live my life in line with the yogic philosophy.

I really enjoy working in the outdoors in a very physical role and would like to continue to use my body while connecting with nature. I have a strong passion for community and wellness and believe that connection is one of the strongest powers that humans have to positively improve the life of all.

Having also worked in hospitality for over 15 years of my life, along with many years in finance and administration roles I have a strong understanding of people and business. I wish to continue to develop my skills and knowledge throughout my life and would love to do this through volunteering within communities.

Quais são suas habilidades?

I have studied both accountancy and administration and have worked in multiple finance, operations, customer service and reception roles. I have worked in management positions for many years and have strong organisational and interpersonal skills.

Having worked in multiple hospitality roles in cafe's, bars, restaurants and hotels over the years and have strong knowledge of what it means to provide high standard service in fast paced environments.

I am also a qualified yoga teacher with over 900 hours of teacher training in classical yoga including specialised development courses in anatomy, physiology, tantra and trauma.

Volunteering at nature reserves and farms has taught me some of the basic concepts of permaculture and how to help regenerate the land through nature, this is something that I would like to expand my knowledge of.

I have also converted my own van and completed a beginners course in woodwork, learning the foundations of joinery and how to use the essential hand tools has given me a taste for labour and I would be very interested in growing more skills in hands on creation.

In 2023 I also dabbled in natural building, working with Cob and lime mortar which I fell in love with. I would love to continue to expand my knowledge and skills within natural building, in the hope of one day building my own tiny home and living self sufficiently.
