My name is Riccardo (Ricci), I currently am backpacking North America. I grew up in New Zealand, lived in Australia and have lived in Banff, Canada. I currently have a working holiday visa for Canada and am planning on travelling North America between December 2025 until May of 2026. I have had the luxury of travelling to all sorts of different places around the world and enjoy meeting new people and exploring new areas. I love travelling, hiking, nature, reading, snow boarding, food but will give anything a try.

I am a high school/secondary teacher of science (Biology and Humanities), have worked as a lift attendant, parking attendant and snow shoveler in Canada and have been a lifeguard in Australia. I am comfortable working both independently and as part of a team and working inside or outside and with kids.
I speak fluent English, with basic knowledge of Italian (still learning).

Quais são suas habilidades?

Have been a high school teacher for over 5 years, specialising in science (biology and physics) and Humanities. Providing me with skills and experience with children, working in an ever changing environment and under pressure.
I have also worked as a lifeguard in Australia (beach and pool lifeguard), developing skills and qualities in maintaining high safety standards, communicating with guests, and working as a team outdoors in a tough, hot conditions and deescalating any tense situations.
Finally, I have also worked at the Banff Gondola, where I was a lift attendant, parking attendant and snow shoveler. Here, I had to push gondolas, clear snow and stand in the heat for up to 8 hours. So I am not shy when it comes to hard labour jobs and roles.

I love rugby union, playing for nearly 20 years. I enjoy skating and snowboarding. I really love being in the outdoors and hiking. I also enjoy reading and watching movies.
