  • Descrição

Hey there! We are a polischcouple which met on a magical New Year’s Eve in Poland two years ago. Since then, our lives have changed totally. We immediately connected because we both love traveling, discovering new places, living life fully, and reading books.

Before, we traveled separately for a long time, exploring different parts of the world on our own. But now, we’re ready to combine our experiences and go on our first big trip together as a couple.

We’re full of energy, excited for new experiences, and ready for an adventure that will help us not only see the world but also understand each other better.

We love meeting new people, hearing their stories, and learning from them. We want to be part of projects that inspire and let us leave something positive behind.

We’re looking for places and experiences that will help us understand different cultures and also allow us to share our skills and positive energy.

We have a lot of experience in different areas and we expect clear terms. Before arriving, we make sure we agree on how we can help, what hours we’ll work, and what the host will provide for us.

    Sylwia:

My name is Sylwia, and I am from Poland. I’m 29. Just half a year ago I leave my life and job in a Czech book printing house in Kraków and started realizing my biggest dream — traveling around the world. The last 6 months I spend in Portugal and Spain. I was working 4,5 months in a surf camp in Portugal and after season I made a month trip around Portugal and Spain. It was a really amazing experience. I learn a lot, meet so many incredible people from all the word and I've practice surfing every day. So now I want to stay until Christmas in Poland and spend some time with my family and friends and then in January, I want to continue my trip and fly to Asia. I'm a really active person. I always try to do something and exploring new places. In Kraków I went to the pool and fitness every day, I was cycling, dancing salsa, climbing and doing yoga. When I have free time, I read books and paints pictures and do jewelry. My passion is photography. I have recently started to learn to play on the ukulele. But my biggest passion is traveling. When I travel I feel I’m alive. I hitch-hiked all over Europe. I was backpacking in India, Indonesia, Jordan, and Israel. What I like most about travel is the opportunity to meet ordinary people in their daily lives during the journey, spending time with them and getting to know their often amazing and sometimes moving stories. And also the opportunity to try to learn new things such as surfing, which I tried last year in Lombok and Bali, during my monthly expedition to Indonesia and have continued learning this year in Portugal. I love the sea and that's why I like to try all kinds of water sports. Surfing immediately aroused in me a lot of emotions and I liked very much, to the extent that I decided to work in a serf camp and now want to go to Sri Lanka where is also a perfect place for surfing. I’ m very communicative and open-minded person, very positive full of energy, my friends say I'm still smiling. Love new adventure and challenges. But I’m also responsible and reasonable. I'm a person who likes nature and the ocean, who enjoys being active, who is happy meeting new people and also enjoys time alone.

    Oskar:

You saw a guy jumping onto a sailing boat to travel around the globe with some strangers?
    That was me.
You saw a guy coming to a new country he doesn't know, with no plan, not speeking the local language but still smiling and telling you "Relax, I won't die"?
    That was me.
So please, whenever you hear about some upcoming adventures, call me ;)

So to make it short, crazy and outgoing but still reasonable and reliable.

In the past I already did a 2 year long journey around Europe, Africa, America and Oceania. It was an amazing time where I worked in a Polish restaurant in Mexico, hiked alone through the rainforest for a week, got hired as an actor for Indiana Jones 5 or crossed the Pacific ocean on a small two-person sailing boat.

But there are times, too, when I just need a good book, a week of chill and a few discussions about life while having some beers.

I like to try new things. Right now I am learning to play the ukulele and sing to it and I am writing a book about how-not-to-die in the wild jungle.

Stuff like philosophy, physics, ancient cultures and the Indiana-Jones-movies are topics you can talk with me about the whole night.

I'm trying to life a healthy life-style, so there are times when this plan is working out very good but of course there are exceptions sometimes :)

    Oskar:

    I am a creative and business-oriented person.

My main experience is in the following areas:
    - construction and DIY
    - webdesign
    - electronics repair (phones, laptops, radios etc.)
    - marketing and sales

I am some kind of a Polish MacGyver. Carpentry, electric systems both DC and AC, microelectronics, some basic understanding of engines.
    Weldering, soldering, diagnostics...
This means, I can help you build or renovate a house/hut or fix some broken electrics at your place.

I have experience with webdesign. If you want to set up a website or change your old one - I will be happy to help you with that.

In the past I owned a repair shop in Germany where we repaired laptops, phones, TVs - I can help you with all that.

I was working in sales and marketing and have extensive knowledge about it.
I can help you to create a social media plan, or a whole marketing plan for your business. If you struggle how to get more clients for your hostel or other business - I will be able to help you out.

    Sylwia:

As for my skills, I can do a lot of things. I grew up in the countryside, that's why I have an idea about gardening, my father has lands and fruit orchards, I spent a lot of time with my dad and brother, I am also familiar with repairing and building (I have experience — we helped with my brother in building our house and renovating home of my grandparents). I am very creative and I have a big imagination. I have experience in taking care of children because I have for 10 years younger sister and I have practically looked at her when my parents were leaving. I cook and I care about order. In the last few months in Portugal, I was working as kitchen stuff in the surf camp. With another person from my team, we were responsible for the kitchen. Our task was to prepare a buffet breakfast for about 60 people and in the evenings we served dinner also for these people. I learn in this work a lot, how to work in the group, especially with the people from another country and another culture. I learn also how to organize the work and prepare food for so many people. But also how to handle customers and spend 24 hours with the same people at the camp. During my studies, I was involved in various projects and volunteering. I helped in the organization of various cultural events. I have experience working in a group. During the holidays I also went to Austria where I worked as a babysitter, helped my friend in kindergarten, helped in various household chores and cleaned in homes from my uncle's friends who live in Austria. During all these tasks, I learned responsibility and self-discipline. I like animals very much, especially dogs, we have 4 at home :)
