Hello everyone! I am very excited to return to the workaway network. I have decided it is time to get out of the rat race once again, and start doing meaningful things and one of the ways to do so is to pay it forward by helping others in any way I can.
I am no stranger to workaway, I had the amazing opportunity to do it while living in Costa Rica. I initially moved to Costa Rica to be part of a volunteer program teaching English, the main target population were those with scarce resources. The program believed that providing English instruction was a good way to help this target population become more employable due to the fact that Costa Rica’s main source of revenue is tourism and bilingualism is a very important skill to have.
Then the pandemic hit, what a complex time for all of us. I decided to switch gears and started helping those with properties that, even though they were not operating due to restrictions, needed help with the maintenance. Some of my duties were gardening, removal of construction debris, compost disposal, art projects, animal/pet sitting, cleaning, cooking, or helping in any other area that required attention.
I am a very responsible person, I clearly understand the concept of workaway, the hardest part is developing amazing relationships and then continuing on your path, but that is part of the beauty of it as well. Not only the contribution I can offer but the rewards I take with me.
Again, I am very happy to be part of this network again and hopefully I can help you in any way possible.

¡Hola a todos! Me da mucha alegria volver a la red de workaway. He decidido que es hora de salir de la rutina y comenzar a hacer cosas significativas y una de las formas de hacerlo es retribuirlo ayudando a otros en todo lo que pueda. No es mi primera vez en workaway, tuve la increíble oportunidad de hacerlo mientras vivía en Costa Rica. Inicialmente me mudé a Costa Rica para ser parte de un programa de voluntariado enseñando inglés a jovenes en zonas de bajos recursos. El objetivo del programa era brindar instrucción en inglés para promover el bilinguismo y asi obtener mejor empleo. Luego llegó la pandemia, qué momento tan complejo para todos nosotros. Decidí cambiar de direccion y comencé a ayudar a aquellos con propiedades que, aunque no estaban operativas debido a restricciones, necesitaban ayuda con el mantenimiento. Algunas de mis tareas eran jardinería, construccion, mantenimiento y limpieza, proyectos de arte, cuidado de animales/mascotas, limpieza, cocina o ayuda en cualquier otra área que requiriera atención. Soy una persona muy responsable, entiendo claramente el concepto de workaway, la parte más difícil es crear relaciones increíbles y luego continuar tu camino, pero eso también es parte de la belleza. No sólo la contribución que puedo ofrecer sino las recompensas que me llevo. Nuevamente, estoy muy feliz de volver a ser parte de esta red y espero poder ayudarlos en todo lo posible. I'm fully bilingual (Spanish/English), I have a TEFL certification with is required to teach English as a second language, and definitely open to learn any other languages.
I have been told that I am a good cook, not used to cooking for large groups of people but I can always try. I'm a very independent person always willing to assist and help
