My name is Laura, I am 21 year old and ready for a new adventure. My friend Nanna and I are traveling to Australia in the end of January and we are looking forward to experience the Australian culture and beautiful nature. In the past year I have been traveling In Indonesia and on a sailling boat in French Polynesia. I like to explore a country by moving around meeting different people and get to know their story. Workaway will be a perfect way to meet you guys living in Australia. Workaway would also give me the opportunity to stay in one place for a longer time, witch will give a stronger navigation, connection and understanding of the culture. I get motivation by being active, productive and by making a difference for other people. Usually happiness and positivity helps me through different kinds of challenges. Our dream would come true if we found some nice Australian people who could show us the beautiful Australian nature:)))

Hello everyone!
My name is Nanna, and I’m a 21 year old adventurous girl from Denmark.
From the end of January 2026 I will be travelling in Australia with my friend, Laura. We have been looking forward to this trip for quite a long time, and now it's finally time!!

I am a curious girl, who loves meeting new people. I have the idea that inside of everyone, you can find something great and inspiring and in addition to that, one of my biggest fascinations is the teamwork between people across cultures and countries. I have experienced it myself with half a year of working in Norway, and I am excited to hopefully try it again with Workayway and travelling in Australia.

I am an active girl, and nothing makes me happier than sport and outdoor life. I like to feel productive and fresh, and I usually find a way to motivate myself through challenges. However I can still find myself relaxing in a chair with my knitting or a good book.

My friend and I would love to find some happy hosts living at a farm, where we can spend a lot of time outdoors, learning about culture and nature.

Quais são suas habilidades?

Here is a little, that you might like to know about us:
We have both finished Danish high school, and we are now in the middle of some years of exploring before we continue in the world of studying. During these gap years, we have gained a lot of travel and work experience:

I, Nanna, have in the past 1,5 years been working in Norway for half a year as a waitress - a big experience! Afterwards I worked in Denmark as an employee at a camp site, whereafter I used to live at a “Folk High School” for 4 months. Here, I was taught a lot of stuff, including lots of knowledge about outdoor life and learning about living with 100 other individuals.

I, Laura, have the past 1,5 years been working in a grocery store and in a Kindergarten. In between work, I have had a great time traveling as well. I spent 1 month travelling around in Indonesia, and afterwards 2 months of sailing with 15 other people on a boat in French Polynesia. These adventures were amazing experiences with the meeting of different cultures and the beautiful nature.

We don't mind feeling a little busy, and we know how to work hard, also outdoors when the weather might be a bit doubtful and the work exhausting. We usually find a way to motivate ourselves and each other through challenges :))
We look at ourselves as grounded, active and positive girls, who both enjoy activities such as sports and hikes, but also value an easy time knitting, reading, listening to music, cooking and conversing.
Moreover we love spending time outside in nature. During our childhood we spent a lot of time in our gardens with our families, playing, mowing the grass, sowing different kinds of crops etc. In general we find it important to value and to take care of nature - furthermore, we love to eat vegetarian food with a lot of vegetables.

If you are a kid or have a childish mind we will have a great time together. we love a good activity, especially if it is a ball game or a board game - gladly with an element of competition.
