Hey!

I’m Mike, I’m 27 and I’m from Surrey in the UK. I’m currently on an open ended backpacking trip around Asia with my friend, Brad, and I really want to do some volunteering to enrich my trip that little bit further.

I started studying Mandarin when I was 19 years old and got my BA in International Relations and Chinese in 2019. Afterwards I worked a few different jobs in hotels and hospitality, before beginning to study and work in law. After some time I decided that wasn’t what I wanted to do so I gave it up and decided I wanted to explore the world some further!

I love animals and have 2 dogs at home that my mum is helping me look after while I’m on my trip. I have experience working with rescue dogs, teaching English and in hospitality! As well as boring admin too (zzzzz). I’m also really into photography and am currently travelling around with my drone trying to make some cool videos and pictures of the beautiful places Asia has to offer!

Hi, my names Brad. I am 30 years old and from England. I have a new found love for travelling and experiencing new cultures. A lover of the outdoors including such things as hiking and camping. Also have a huge passion for animals. I come from a construction based family where a lot of my family work in the construction industry so am very handy when it comes to this type of work.

I, myself have worked in customer services for over 10 years including management positions and I have worked closely with HR teams to provide full care for my staff. I have also organised work related events.

I now want to further my scope and delve into different areas such as teaching, hospitality and anything animal related.

I am currently travelling the island of Borneo with previously spending 2 months backpacking around the rural areas of China. Travelling this way has enabled me to see how the local people go about their daily lives.

I want to get into “work-aways” to give yet another experience to my travelling. I feel it would give me great satisfaction being able to give something back to the places that I am able to travel.

Quais são suas habilidades?

I have experience teaching English to children in China. I worked in hotels in the UK both front and back of house. I can speak English and Mandarin. I’m into my photography and video editing so I can assist with marketing and content creation. I also spent some time working at a local dog rescue centre with the rescue dogs (cleaning, feeding, walking etc.)
